Dazey
Ive just spent the last half hour working out my finances for the next year and I hadnt actually realised until now just how small a proportion of my salary I actually have left after taxes, bills etc etc.I just worked out that after all of the above I take home just a little over 20% of my gross income which is fucking crazy! Is this normal? What how does it compare to everybody else on here? Edited December 8, 2014 by Dazey
Satanisk_Slakt
I barely have any income right now, but some years ago I had an income on about 4000 dollar a month and after my bills and tax were paid I had like 2000 dollar left for other stuff. I'll probably never have an income like that again though.
LyndaRose
I have a very low disabilty income, minus all the monthly costs...well...not much left either.

arnold layne
Yeah I'm fucked. Probably gonna make around 2k this month but will need to look for another job in January, plus Christmas is coming up. I just don't spend money unless it's for beer or gas at this point. And my parents are kicking me out after the holidays because I overstayed my welcome so my lonely ass will probably find cheap rent and weed to solve my problems. Responsibility blows. The Sandman
I'm quite lucky - my major expenses are travel and PhD - which, whilst high, are manageable. I'm quite fortunate currently!
Chris1989
I don't have a mortgage so it's just rent, insurance, phone, petrol - the usuals. I probably have about 50-60% of my income remaining after those expenses. Nice pay rise for my new job will help even more!
alfierose
In theory we have a fair bit of disposable income but also four kids so yeah....stick with just the one Dazey. ;-)
Gracii Guns
I have a fair bit of disposable income (a few hundred pounds a month), but don't treat it as widely as I should, so can never buy anything really expensive with it.
Snake-Pit
I like to spend my disposable income going out or smoking or buying lunch. If I have so much money I don't know what to do with, once everything is paid and I want for nothing, I even buy US Dollars, save up for my next trip. Gunner55
Sounds about right. I feel I've been living credit card to cheque recently. I make enough to get by. But to accumulate savings? Not in this lifetime.
Ace Nova
That's what you get for living in a socialist state. In the free world, we live.j/k In all seriousness, if I figured it all out, it probably wouldn't be much more than what you're talking about...maybe 5% - 10% more. (Total guess). (Assuming with bills, you mean rent, food, etc, etc, etc.) Edited December 9, 2014 by Kasanova King
