I just remembered one time when I was in school maybe 14/15 and i did a letter on the computer in school and addressed it to my mum, I wrote on the letter that it was Charity day coming up and they were making it optional this year. Charity Day was a day where the older kids would put on a show for the rest of the school. Normally it was end of term time so fuck knows how my mum believed it when I made out that it was just a random day, and it was never optional, it was very much compulsory.
