That's what I do.

I usually start by going to one of the bars and putting some money in a video poker / video blackjack machine since the bartender is right there and you'll get quick service. If I end up winning some, I'll just stay there and rake in the free drinks. When I move on, I usually look for an area of the gaming floor where a waitress is making rounds very often and set up shop there. If you're nice to the waitress and tip ok, you'll see her a lot. I can usually get them to start bringing me 2 drinks at a time after a few tips which works out great.

Of course the downside to this is that you start betting like an idiot with the more you drink lol. That's one of the ideas behind feeding you drinks I suppose, but it's easy to get around if you just take some breaks or if you're playing next to someone else. You can check out what's going on with their machine or whatever and it kind of stops you from just max betting everything because you're drunk lol

I've never played in a poker room but I'd be surprised if they don't have servers for those rooms. As far as I know, drinks are free everywhere in Vegas as long as you're gaming.

I will definitely try that while over there. Yeah as is it not the barmaids job to keep you at the tables and in the hotel.  I was just walking around the strip with a  can of lager in my hand.

That's my preferred option. Pretty much everywhere but bars on the strip has dirt cheap alcohol.

So if I'm not gambling, I just grab a 6pk or some liquor from somewhere cheap and roll around wherever I want with it

I always grab a cheap Styrofoam cooler at CVS for my room and load with beer.  Then whenever I head out I always have a raodie and either 2-3 in my pockets or my backpack depending on what I'm doing.

Also a note to Vegas rookies (this could be posted in the other Vegas threads too I suppose)- you are allowed to bring your own booze into shows/concerts....as long as you pour into a plastic cup.  If you don't have a cup the venue will provide you one to pour drink into and then toss your bottle or can.  *I'm not guaranteeing that T-Mobile Arena will do so (maybe go to the doors before show and do some recon) but that's always been the case at MGM Garden Arena.  I've seen many concerts there and they have always allowed for bring your own booze.  FYI

The first time I had that feeling was like 10-12 years ago in Vegas. I was walking on the sidewalk drinking a beer, saw a cop and was like "OH SHIT". Then he approached me and I was panicked until he said "Taddy Porter is good. You ever try anything else from Samuel Smith?"

Then I thought.... "Fuck yeah, this is Vegas!"

Not that I'm aware of. I've been told that you're not allowed to have open containers in vehicles, but we've never had a problem as long as they driver doesn't have alochol. We get in and out of cabs constantly with liquor/beer and never once had a problem.

No shit? Wow that's cool! Man, I haven't been to Vegas in over 20 years since I got married there. I think it has changed a bit since last time. Lol.

A lot of the changes bum me out to be honest but it is what it is, I just gotta roll with it or stop going there.

I hear a lot like going to the older casinos as I'm staying at the Golden Gate Hotel but that just cause I'm tight and  trying to spend as little on flights and Accommodation.

Hey dude! Hear about the x japan delays?

Hey, sorry not been on for a few days!

Gutted about the delay but it's classic X... two of my favourite bands have a habit of delaying things!

Got tickets for the London show but guess I'll just have to wait until 2017.

Luckily I have a certain gig in Vegas to ease the blow :)

Oh man, that sucks! Have you seen X before?  Vegas will definitely make up for it!
