Haha there is no way that this bitch know more songs than November rain and SCOM...

Why would you assume that?

Gnr is one of the most well known brands in music. Jungle is played at every professional sporting event in the world. November Rain has over 500 million views on YouTube

Why would you assume that because somebody is famous that they wouldn't be a real fan?

I know lots of people in her age group that are huge GnR fans. If she worked at Walmart and wore different GnR shirts would you assume she was a "bitch" who was just wearing the shirt as s fashion statement?

And why would some complete strangers career make you angry?

And why would you get angry about the reasons somebody is wearing a GnR shirt. Have you come up with a code or list of rules that people must follow before they are allowed to wear a bands shirt?

Not going to cast aspersions on an 18 year old girl or her music tastes (seriously, growing up as a chick you constantly get questioned as to whether you "really" like this or that band, and it gets fucking offensive), but to comment on the jackets -- it could easily be a promotional thing. At an event like Coachella they probably have gifting suites and a lot of swag and freebies backstage. For all we know the VIPs are being offered these custom jackets for free or for a minimal cost, and it's something sponsored by the jacket designer or the tour's promoters (and yes, things like that actually do happen). Think about it, these people are out and about and if they get photographed wearing a GnR tour jacket it is great publicity for the tour.

And if these really are Axl's acquaintances? *shrug* Famous people tend to know other famous people.

Great post

so now guns n roses are cool and trendy?

Why would that bother you?

Dont you want the tour to be a huge success so maybe the boys will stay together, release and album and tour again!

Im amazed that people are now mad that other people like GnR.  A band that has sold 100 million albums is not your little secret club band that you've got a personal connection to.

The GnR brand is a global one.

I don't see what the problem is with wearing a t shirt 'for fashion'.  I mean it's just clothes right, end of the day, do i have to be a GnR fan to wear a GnR T shirt, maybe i ain't heard a single song and just like how it looks.  Furthermore, I'm the fuckin' one that paid for it, i can wear it, wash my windows with it, cram it up my arse for all the business it is of anyone else.

Whats really the problem, what, you don't like that an arsehole likes the same band as you?  Seems kinda odd.

Exactly.

I am glad you and Stella are Here sharing logic and common sense to the masses.

GnR has always been "trendy", one of those bands you can always find a t-shirt for at any major outlet like AC/DC and Floyd

Yes i'm angry because she don't have any career her sister is famous and because of her shitty reality show she become famous too, she went to doc and made her tits and lips and now she is like god to lil girls in age range 5-15 for what goddammit? And please don't throw now that i need to find life because that is stupid excuse.

@Apollo

We had always supported them when the others were trashing nuGNR, smkc or loaded etc.

Now that GNR are big again, all the people out there claim to be huge fan, sometimes more than us.

It's just this.

People were laughing at me when I talked about GNR.

Now They pretend  to know gnr more than me. Even if They weren't born when I was listening to UYI!!

Of course I'm happy that this upcoming tour is a success, But this means we would fight for tickets and seats or standings in huge stadiums with this kind of fans. And this upsets me a little bit.

It would be great to see GNR in small clubs only with die hard fans :)

I realise I'm probably not deemed qualified to post here due to my low post count and my opinions are not valid because I don't pee my pants at everything that Guns N' Roses do but some of the views here are quite funny.

Guns are not a prestigious club that you have to pass an exam to be a part of.

Does it really matter who wears their t-shirts or if they know the lyrics to the lesser known songs?

I am pretty knowledgeable on Guns N' Roses and could go on Mastermind and nail it with Guns N' Roses as my specialised subject but it doesn't make me any more worthy of wearing their merchandise.

Plus, I was a fan when some of you were still swimming around in your fathers ball-sacks, does that qualify me for a promotion in the ranks of fans?

Wearing a "look at that bitch, I bet she hasn't even heard the Chinese demos" attitude leads to having no friends

It's utterly ridiculous.

Posters actually think they get to judge how big or qualified somebody else is to be a fan of GnR?

And people take great offense and get outraged if somebody's fan level isn't high enough?

Lol they are basically the Kyle Jenners of the forum. Trying to exclude others who aren't popular enough to sit at their VIP table. Thinking they are better than other people because of their station in life.

IF this is true, it's smart. I don't know a whole lot about how the Kylie Jenner is related to the more famous the Kim Kardashian, but it's cool for Kylie to wear GNR, and it's GREAT exposure for Guns with that demographic. She just seems hot, young, and at the head of tends, so none of that is a bad thing for the band. If she's willing to play the game, play the damn game then.

True anyone can wear any shirt they want, but they will or at least should feel pretty stupid if someone tries to strike up a conversation about the shirt they're wearing and they have to say I don't really know much about the band. I've had to do that before and I have felt dumb. Never a band that I've like never heard but maybe I like and know just one album a lot or something.

But why does any of that make you angry? Why does any of that have any effect on your life? You sound really jealous. Are you angry at kids born to rich parents or kids born to parents who own successful businesses?

She is taking advantage of the situation her mother and sister made for her. I believe she has a cosmetics line. She gets paid for personal appearances. She gets paid for her role on TV. Girl is 18 years old and just paid almost 3 million dollars for her own house, using her own money. You might not like her, but she is taking advantage of all her advantages.

Has she done something personally to you? I'm not trying to argue or be disrespectful - I just truly don't understand the emotion of hating somebody just because they had an easier path to success than I did.

Jealousy is a horrible monkey to keep on your shoulders. I couldn't care less if she makes millions or moves to Idaho and buys a Taco Bell franchise and disappears from the spotlight. Has zero effect on my life.

******

You could be right - or wrong - about her music taste. I'm not her friend so I have no idea what kind of music she likes. Again, who cares? If I'm not riding in her car, then I don't care if she rocks out to GnR or to Backstreet Boys.

Gnr is a huge world wide brand. I wouldn't find it surprising at all if the teenage Hollywood elite loved old school GnR.

If somebody said "Nick Cages teenage son loves GnR" would you immediately start calling him terrible names and saying there is no way he really likes GnR?

Hate and jealousy are horrible emotions to carry around with you. Especially towards people who aren't part of your life.

You love GnR? Awesome. That should be all that matters to you.

I completely understand you, and you are absolutely right. She don't have any talents and own fucking 3 millon house can you tell me how is that right? I don't hate her good for her, it's just frustrating. I'm not jealous i live very well thanks god. And yeah i should mind my own business, Axl can gift his fucking jacket to whoever he wants

It's not a competition though. Who cares if somebody knows more about a band than you do. I love GnR. But I couldn't care less if some stranger said he knows more about their history than I do. I would just say "good for you bro. I just love listening to their music."

But aren't you combining large groups of different people into one little stereotype to fit your point?

People actually laughed at you when you talked about GnR? What would you do if some teen kid came up and told you that Justin Bieber was the most talented singer alive. Would you laugh at him?

So some guy - let's call him Joe - laughed at you whenever you talked about GnR.

But after a couple successful reunion shows, now Joe claims to be a bigger fan than you. A couple shows, that he didn't attend, completely changed his musical taste and opinion? That seems crazy, but let's go with it

And Joe, who use to laugh at you just a month ago, still doesn't know anything about the band or their songs, but he is willing to pay $350 to go see this band......which also makes it harder for you to buy your ticket

And this scenario has happened to you hundreds of times? Wow

And Who determines who gets to be a fan? I've always just been a casual Stones fan. But didn't find them that great. But recently I've started giving an invested listening to their back catalog. A year ago I was a casual fans of their "Hits." Today I'm a huge fan.

Using your GnR logic......I'm a poser who shouldn't be respected because I haven't been a diehard fan for thirty years. If I wear a Stones shirt, talk positively about them, or attend a show......I'm a poser.

I realize adults don't use the word poser. But you get my point.

I'm just not sure how anyone can look at someone they don't know and declare that the person must not know the music at all. Why, because she's a girl, she's young, she's a celebrity, what? Girls get that thrown at them all the time and it gets offensive and annoying...when I was younger I remember getting the "quick, name all the members of the band!" questions from asshole guys who thought they were authorities on who were "real" fans.

Anyway, as much as I really do loathe the Kardashians and their associates -- Kylie Jenner is just 18, and she had no control over the jackass family she was born into or her parents' decision to do a reality show and drag her along when she was a kid.

Shouldn't some of those tour jackets have went to Nightrain members? competition for a custom GnR jacket? Would have been a great competition and a cool gesture. I mean, I'm sure some of the people who got those jackets actually appreciate them, BUT I guarantee none of them would appreciate it the as much as a real true and true GnR fan, especially anyone who's a GnR fan knowing what they know and still willing to pay for Nightrain membership :D

* they can do whatever they want with the jackets, give them to whoever, it was just a thought... and hearing that Kim kardashian (not sure if confirmed) got one, kinda ruffled some feathers. Why would Axl / GnR give a fuck about a Kardashian? Kanye? I hope not!

It's a simple case of "that's my band! NOT yours!" wah, wah! GnR fans should have prepared themselves for this, GnR are THE band right now. Not saying they are now as credible (or anything like that) as they were in their day, but, they have a lot of buzz and that brings out the celebs.

Who cares! let's just enjoy the circus, because it won't last! and soon they'll be flocking like sheep to the next big thing. I know that I'm a huge fan, you know you are! that's all that matters. Does Kylie Jenner wearing a gnr T-shirt undo any of that? if it does, I don't know what to tell you, but I couldn't give a shit what she wears (well, that's not entirely true ;), I'm a dirty old man:axl:).
