  1. Why not upload something from the actual old live era? They're not promoting NITL, they're not promoting anything really, and the movie surely contains the original studio version, no? In which case, they may as well have published something from that era. When that person close to the band died, Slash published UTLH from 93. How about Sweet Child from the same gig, for example? No, they'll just hoard everything.

No. Most of the time when I read one of your posts you are whining about this band. There is a difference between fair criticism and constantly bitching, and you can surely take it down a notch.

Oh the good old constant complaining about someone constant complaining, haven’t heard that one for a while. I can assure you I’m not one of those who bitch all the time, sometimes I’m positive too. But since most of the band’s activities and anything around it sucks one way or the other on a long-term scale, and considering this is the right place to complain about these things, then that’s what you can expect. And I'm far from being the only one here. Focus on the positives – wherever you find them – and comments from the likes of me will pass you with ease. ;)

    Edit:
Plus: when I say they should have chosen a different vid where the singer sounds good (there are occasions like that) or, even better, a song we don't have yet - is that "bitching" or "fair criticism"? To me, it's the latter. But who'll be the judge - you?
    Easy, mate.

  3. Some may say look, these GNR forum fans are never satisfied! They just got a new Select, and yet they still bitch!
But this is so typical for GNR. Do they release a song where Axl sounds good? Do they release something new, which hasn’t been released many times before, something like Reckless Life or You’re Crazy fast version? Do they use basic logic? Why, no! We’ll fucking give you SCOM, which is definitely new and you couldn’t have seen it in any of the previous Selects, plus Axl sounds full rasp like in 2016 there!
Jeez. I guess it’s some sort of compensation for the "one or two new songs around June", which... I suppose... aren’t quite ready for release yet...

  4. In-ear monitor problems
    General issues with the sound
Musician not being able to hear himself
Crowd not being able to hear musician
    Unspecified technical difficulties
    Some liquid on the floor
Shitty sound throughout the show in certain areas
Problems with organisation of the venue / with promoters
Issues with securing rights to videos/recordings
    Health problems, strep throat
    Damaged vocal cords
Too much humidity in the air

30 years in the business. God, why didn’t you stick some other band in my head...

  5. Jeez, even if a new record isn't on the table in the nearest future, they could still be releasing tons of old videos, even if just on YT. But I guess there are "supply chain" issues or something, huh. Or Axl has in-ear monitor problems. But hey, he's cracking jokes. No, this band doesn't function normally, never has and never will, so please stop this apologetics, whoever. They could be doing heaps of other stuff beside releasing new music, but they just won't, that's the problem. And by these heaps I don't mean touring the greatest hits and jerking off to the point the singer can't fucking sing any longer. I mean, there's a clue right there...

He is human and that's the most important factor when it's comes to a live performance. If you want to listen to a perfect vocal performance, then it's as simple as pushing play via listening to the original studio recorded material.

The only progression from this point is to have backing track vocals that will create the perfect vocal performance you desire.

That won't happen with Axl, as he is exactly like us, and we cannot go back in time to create something we once had in the past.

You are simply getting the vocals that Axl can deliver at this current time not the Axl of 2 years ago or 20 years ago.

Which is exactly why he should alter his playlist and choose songs that fit his abilities these days. But no, he'll keep playing Better and Back in Black. He must hear it. At least some of the bandmates must hear it. Someone else other than the fans surely must hear it. Nobody is expecting a 30-year old Axl, that's an old tired pseudo-argument...

A helpful link for anyone confused

    Imagine suggesting nonbinary isn't real.

Imagine being a dying forum finding a hateful hill to die on.

Imagine you first google the difference between the terms "sex" (which is what's actually applicable to this situation) and "gender" (which the forum doesn't ask about), like I've suggested above. The confusion is on your end, buddy. And googling is not that difficult. ;)

Is it? We don’t know that, man. This is your theory.

There are other demanding songs on the setlist as well.

    I can hear it.

None of the rest is as demanding as this one. None of the GN'R songs were as demanding as what he did with AC/DC in 2016. It's not a coincidence he worked with a vocal coach again for that occasion after all those years...

  9. I think your friend here confuses the terms "sex" and "gender". Sex is given biologically, and unless you’re a hermaphrodite or from a different planet, there are only two options. That's a fact, you can ask any doctor. Or future archaeologists, when they find your skeletons. Whereas as for genders, there theoretically can be an infinite amount of those.
But since your forum is not asking about gender, you’re not doing anything wrong here. Male/female/not telling, that's all.
And as for gender, god bless everyone, I profess freedom and all; but on the other hand, nobody should expect people to immediately adjust their dictionary or rework all the signs on doors and all the blank forms in offices just because you’re feeling different all of a sudden. And what do you put there? Dozens of them? And how fast do you update it? If you’re sensitive about your pronouns, that’s your internal problem, not mine. Perhaps you should think about this insecurity of yours.
    Peace.

  10. He's definitely gotten better in BiB, but I really don't understand why he keeps playing this song. It's terribly demanding and hard, and he'll never sound the way he did in 2016 anyway. Why do it in 2022 is beyond me. Is he trying to prove something to someone? Yes, these last attempts sound much better, but he struggles, and you can hear that. Just play something else, man, it's cool.
