Has anyone seen pictures of the 7" labels? Any official writing credits or they are not even bothering?

Yep, Chris Jericho acknowledged that the video was a tribute to Garden Of Eden. Great songs both.

HOLY SHIT. I just got a shipping notification for the 7"! I cannot believe GN'R did something early!!
I thought the very same thing, LOL. Are these shipping from the US? I ordered the Robocop t-shirt from the Detroit show last year and it took a couple of weeks or so to get here in Italy, as far as I remember. Fingers crossed.

Are they? Last I knew cds were shipping in Feb and vinyl in June, has this changed? I'd be very happy to know, seems I might have missed out on an update

Questions?
A few ideas coming to my mind:
Vocals for how many songs were recorded (more or less) before he left?
More about Paul Huge... if he enjoyed working with him, any memories/anecdotes he feels like sharing.
Some more info about the sessions with Brian May.
Were any songs originating from the 94-96 sessions considered/worked on?
Not sure you want to mention the leaks, but any additional info like who wrote/brought this or that song to the table would be interesting to know. (I'd really love to know about State Of Grace, Thyme and Dummy).
More about the re-recorded Appetite. Did the songs have vocals? Was it seriously considered as a project at some point or was it just for the band to learn the songs and for Axl to do live era overdubs? And was a reworked knockin' on heaven's door ever considered?
Might add more later. That's the period in gnr history that fascinates me the most. Of course I don't expect you to consider all the requests (by me or everyone else) but I really hope you can get some interesting unheard info from him ☺️

Oh, so many. I'll go with the clean guitars in the Think About You chorus too and a kinda sorta unpopular choice: the half a second of silence with the snare drum hit kickstarting the final chorus in Hardskool after the break.
Also, I always found the kazoo at the end of Human Being hilarious in a nice way.
And a mention for the sort of flanger effect on Izzy's voice in Double Talkin' Jive.
EDIT: forgot to mention the snare drum hits in the Shackler's Revenge intro. They sound like gunshots and I always wanted to think it's been done on purpose, as a subtle node to the theme of the lyrics.

Absolutely spot on post @Blackstar. You might have totally nailed it with the final part about getting acknowledged etc

@Twinaleblood you can get the 7" clear vinyl if you join the official fanclub.
Ah ok thank you. Either 7" or 12", definitely not enough to lure me into joining

Sorry, but in which thread this 12" single thing is discussed? Also, I just visited the gnr store and I can only see cd, 7" and cassette. Seems I totally missed out on this, could you please enlight me or point to the thread where I can read about this? Thanks.

I would like to go back for a minute to the old list that leaked 10 years ago or whenever that was, as this can thread can certainly use a little more speculation
It seems that all the songs released on CD are marked with the number 2, I assume this indicates a remix/second version (this would also imply there's a CD remix around that we haven't heard). The only interesting exception to this is Catcher, which doesn't have a number 2 and I wonder why. That more or less "confirms" what's been said for a long time, ie that Catcher was a last minute addition to CD and probably not considered for the final tracklist yet at the time this list was compiled (10 months before the actual CD release).
Much more interesting would be to know what those other letters mean, like V, M, H or even "ch" and "br". Did anyone come up with ideas about that over the years?

WOW! To have a pro-shot Marquee concert is maybe number 5 in my life's wish list!
I agree, that would be pure gold! I always assumed they professionally recorded only the audio, not the video too.

My lovely girlfriend surprised me today with this very cool photo book by British photographer Justin Thomas.
I didn't know this had been released so I literally flipped out in happiness when I saw it. Thomas happened to take pictures of GNR 4 times between 87 and 92 and this is a black and white collection of the best pics from then.
Specifically, the shows are Marquee 1987 (one of the first two shows, it's not specified which one), Hammersmith 1987, the Freddie Mercury Tribute, and Wembley 1992.
Some of the pics, especially the ones from 1992, are quite famous, while some others are definitely less seen around. Personally, I had never seen many of the Marquee ones before.
There's no text in it except for one page with Justin Thomas sharing memories about the four shows he took pics at.
The size is more or less A5 and it's 36 pages printed on thick glossy paper.
I need to marry this girl.

Thank you, Brando. Yes, I don't remeber this episode, I will have a listen soon. Just seen the info from @SoulMonster as well and they rang a bell, I had read them back then and forgot. Thank you all for doing so much to dig interesting info

I don't know if this was already seen/posted here, but it was completely new to me and I couldn't find any mentions when I tried to search in the forum, so hopefully this thread is not a double.
Anyway, there's this YouTube channel called Wasting Time with Jason Green, with the host interviewing a lot of 80s hard rock musicians. One of the interviews, uploaded last July, is with Gary Sunshine from Circus Of Power who, as most of you probably remember, played additional guitar on Oh My God and at the time had been hired by Axl for guitar lessons. I'm not sure if the link can be posted here, I assume it's safe, but you can easily find it on YT with the info I've given.
The part about GNR starts around the 54 min mark and it reveals very interesting info from those years, some of them I hadn't heard before. This is what I recall on top of my mind:
- He was hired through someone from a musical instruments store who mentioned Gary's name to Axl when he was looking for lessons.
- Gary says Axl had a very good ear and was a good player, but he didn't know what he was playing, so that's why he wanted to take lessons.
- When Axl was playing a sort of blues lick and Gary pointed it out, Axl mentioned he didn't want to learn blues guitar but some different approaches. Gary remembers they "studied" songs by Beatles and Radiohead, but didn't mention any specific songtitles.
- When Axl asked him to play additional guitar on GNR songs, he played on two: one was Oh My God, the other he believes it to be IRS but he's not 100% sure. He was given a cassette with instrumental versions of both songs back then to work with. When he recorded his guitars for Oh My God, Dave Navarro's solo hadn't been added yet.
- During his time working with Axl, Buckethead was in the fold at some point and when Axl gave Gary a tour of the studio they were recording at, he actually saw Buckethead's chicken coop.
- This I had absolutely no idea, but Gary says he had auditioned to replace Paul Huge in 2002. After rehearsing for two days with the band, he was told their final choice was Fortus, but they asked him to be always ready because he was their backup plan in case anything didn't work as expected. So he spent like 6 months "waiting" for a last minute call that never arrived.
- He sort of lost contact with Axl not long after 2002.
- He loves Frank, who he knew from NY.

Hard Skool Officially Released at Midnight - Sept 24
in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS

Thank you, but I was wondering which names they would print on the record, as some of those credits in the official databases sometimes don't get printed on booklets and record covers as well. For example, I would be surprised of seeing Slash and Paul Huge to share that same credit on the label of the 7" (if they printed any credits on the label. It seems there are no credits on the back cover, as far as I could spot from the pics posted in this thread).
