  2. The outcome of the motion (the part concerning the service) won't really amount to much, because even if the judge agrees with Axl's lawyers that the documents were not served properly, she will probably grant extended time for Kennedy's lawyers to serve it. Or, if the judge denies the part of the motion about the service but grants the part of the motion about the dismissal of some of the causes of action, Kennedy's lawyers will be able to file an amended complaint (that will replace the original one) and serve that. So, maybe the non-service part of the motion is just lawyer tactics to achieve something else.
  3. None of us here is an attorney, I believe, so we can't really evaluate the legal arguments each side has made that are based on precedents (previous court cases) and the extent to which these precedents are relevant to the current case. Apparently there is a precedent about the outside gate (of a building, compound or property) vs. the door of a residence that Axl's lawyers rely upon, but we can't really say whether it actually supports their argument regarding this case.
  4. They used this service: https://www.tlo.com/
  5. In the preliminary statement of the opposition it is mentioned that the schedule of fact discovery for the case (depositions etc.) which should be completed by October 2024, was proposed by Axl. They say in the opposition that Axl doesn't contest that Malibu is his main residence. But he has contested that in his answer. There is also an attached document of skip tracing Axl's locations (they say they hired an investigator for that): https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/fbem/DocumentDisplayServlet?documentId=h1FtNpHOXPQULQkRi0bTXw==&system=prod The last traced date of residence in Malibu is January 2020. There is a later date (April 2020) of residence in Montana but there are traces only for that one day.
  6. Kennedy's lawyers have filed the opposition to Axl's motion: https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=A_PLUS_Y556T3YllOkkHY0nmZ0g== or https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/fbem/DocumentDisplayServlet?documentId=A_PLUS_Y556T3YllOkkHY0nmZ0g==&system=prod It is accompanied by the affidavits or service and information about Axl's companies and business addresses (I suppose to show that they made all efforts to trace Axl's addresses).
  7. No, I haven't found anything (but even if there is something music related it wouldn't show up so early). I'm very skeptical about it being music related, even with a youtube channel. My best case scenario is a book, but I still think the tequila is more likely (and the youtube channel is just to promote his personal brand).
  8. Yeah, I think that even if nothing of substance comes out of this website eventually (because... Axl), it definitely has not been created just randomly because "everybody has a website". There must be something, even if it's his brand of merchandise. And not every musician who is just in a band has a website, but most of those who have other ventures besides their band have a website. For example, the members of Metallica don't have personal websites.
  9. It's because the videos are unlisted, and not public, on his channel (this means that they can be viewed when you have the link, but don't appear on the channel or on youtube search).
  10. Kennedy's lawyers have the option to file an amended complaint (on the same due date) instead of an opposition without the two of the four causes of action that Axl's motion asks to be dismissed (which, or at least one of them, are very likely to be dismissed, I think, because there are precedents in other cases with the Steven Tyler NY case being the most recent). That would make Axl's motion to dismiss the entire complaint due to improper service redundant, as he would now be served with the amended complaint.
  11. Yes, but like I said, this is common practice. All lawyers do that, so most of the time the due date is the actual filing date.
  12. Based on what has been said, I don't think there's anything more with Izzy than the bootlegs we have (instrumentals of Attitude etc.)
  13. Generally very positive review: the album goes beyond being an "easy" album of cover versions of blues classics - Slash fires on all cylinders, great solos and not "self-sufficient" like he sometimes does with GN'R live (I suppose it means that he isn't noodling or playing too many notes) - production is clear and robust - backing band is great - all the singers are great - Beth Hart sings as if she sold her soul to the devil.
  14. They started in 2011. The Dexter one posted until 2020 and the Dijon one (that looked clearly it was a fan account) until 2016.
  15. From what I've seen from looking at dockets of various cases, oppositions, responses etc. are usually filed on the day the deadline expires. So I expect it the day after tomorrow.
  16. Yeah, I remember that but never saw any confirmation other that that claim.
  17. Most likely there won't be a trial. And even if there is, it won't start so late.
  18. Some of the posts were very reminiscent of Axl's sense of humour. Although I guess it's fairly easy to emulate Axl's typing style on twitter, I don't think it's that easy to mimic his sense of humour. And then there were some links and reposts that fell into Axl's interests, e.g. a performance by a pianist from 1962. The account is also being followed by Dizzy's ex-wife Lisa, who has been close to Axl.
  19. He has said it at least a couple of times since he got back to GN'R (and even before that, although not so explicitly). E.g.: Slash: When Velvet Revolver… like when we sort of ended our relationship with Scott Weiland, and then we sort of half-heartedly went and auditioned a bunch of singers, you know, I just - definitely my heart wasn't into really continuing this thing. But we did it for… let's see, that was 2007, 2008. So we went down that road for a few months and worked on some new material, and worked with some good people and whatnot. But I just didn't feel like it was something that I wanted to continue pursuing. https://www.a-4-d.com/t8209-2018-09-21-metal-talks-on-spotify-interview-with-slash
  20. Axl looked fairly drunk in that video. This reminded me of a tweet from the - now inactive - profile of one of Axl's cats (and many fans believed that it was Axl himself, which is likely):
  21. I guess he means this video from 2012 that surfaced in 2020. But it's not really clear what Axl says (1:16 min mark) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfPq9BR76pY
  22. Yeah, although the VR question was a bit "out there" considering how much time has gone by and how many projects Slash has going on currently.
  23. But the level of knowledge is the same for any speculation or educated guesses of the kind of "Axl behaves this way or doesn't release music because X or Y". The only thing we have full knowledge of is the result: Axl is not prolific and rarely releases music. The only reason that attributing everything to mere laziness is seen as "telling it like it is" while other or additional explanations are perceived as "defending Axl" is because people generally sympathize less with a lazy person than with, say, an insecure person, so the laziness explanation provides more convenient and less challenging grounds for venting, whereas more complex explanations are usually less emotionally charged (and are not worded in the form of a rant), so they're taken as trying to "invalidate" the fans' frustrations. But, in fact, insecurity or a potential mental condition as parts of the reason for Axl's behaviour doesn't mean that Axl bears no responsibility for it. For example, the people around Axl have changed over the years, but some patterns have been the same e.g. from Doug Goldstein to TB, which suggests that he tends to trust the wrong people to take care of business for him, and that he's prone to being surrounded by sycophants, and that's on him.
