  1. Well the M80 that he tried is basically a Marshall style amp already.
  2. He's never been exclusive to just Marshall. He simply tried a Magnatone once and liked it, then talked to them when Fortus introduced them. Simple as that. Has nothing to do with new ownership. And they'll do anything for him that he asks for, they're not going to say no to Slash.
  3. Update https://guitar.com/news/gear-news/slash-switches-to-magnatone-amps-marshall/ UPDATE: Slash has confirmed in a statement released to Guitar.com that he will in fact be continuing his relationship with Marshall while also working with Magnatone. “To clear up any misconceptions that might arise,” Slash writes in the statement. ”Although Magnatone and I have been working together to create a new amp, I still maintain my long relationship with Marshall and look forward to continued collaboration with their incredible team.”
  4. At least the US tour he used them, Meegan had posted pics in her story at one point and you could see them in the rack. No he was using Jubilees on the last 2 SMKC tours.
  5. He'll be back eventually, and Marshall won't terminate their relationship with him. He's at the level where he can play whatever he wants and isn't tied to anything exclusively.
  6. Yeah he had Magnatones in his rig for the US tour that just ended. It was when he did the Schenker recording.
  7. He hasn't left Marshall officially, I think they'll still be used here and there.
  8. And he played on most of their catalog and on their most legendary tour too, that's not insignificant.
  9. @Ralphelmosays there's going to be another album later. I think Myles was uncertain because they didn't have concrete plans at the time. Yeah so after that. That would be cool, although idk how well Axl would be able to do back to back nights.
  10. Where did Eddie say this? I think Slash and Duff could come up with some really cool stuff together, which might inspire Axl creatively also. And if they got with a good producer then I think they can still make one last good album. No, SMKC is doing another album after this tour. As long as Myles and the rest of the guys are available and interested SMKC will be around in some form or another.
  11. What happened? I haven't been keeping up with the show threads lately, has she not been there? Who, Frank or Richard?
  12. Yeah I agree. Slash did some cool parts on them but they sound way more like "Axl songs" than "GnR songs" if you get what I mean. It's interesting to listen to but I wouldn't be playing them over and over the way that I did Absurd and HS (and still do). Ugh right? That would be a big deal but I think they missed their chance to capitalize on that.
  13. I don't get it either, I love HS. Great straightfoward rock song. The mix isn't even that bad, it's consistent with most modern rock records.
  14. Really hope they don't go with Dave Cobb and his terrible mixes again. 4 wasn't bad but it could've been so much better.
  15. Yeah I agree, the general public wouldn't be that into these songs either. That's why I'm going to reserve judgement until they're out on streaming and I can listen for real.
  16. And Absurd. Honestly Hard Skool was the perfect opportunity for a big release, I really wish they had done major promotion around it like what the Stones are doing now with their new album. As usual, they blew it.
  17. Yeah they should've just put it up on Spotify already. Then no one would care about poor quality leaks.
  18. I agree but I think the days of SMKC doing GnR are over, apart from the occasional tune with Duff or Fortus.
