  1. My god, I am from the UK and been watching the Whitehouse briefings over the last couple of days only to find that Trump  looks like an adult but is clearly a three year old in disguise.  This man cannot articulate intelligently and has little ability to problem solve  and in this period of fear and uncertainty he is leader of the American people, how appalling.    Axl has shown disdain for this man in the past so I wondered if he had made a comment, I hope so!

Yeah, aside from their recent touring (which is pretty big - never thought we'd see the day!), they are a very private kind of band (i.e. Axl is a private kind of guy). But, I think Axl limits his public exposure due to past experiences. He doesn't choose to be too vocal now despite holding many opinions! He's also a perfectionist (of the debilitating kind). He still performs with gusto on stage, but doesn't seem to have much capacity to do a whole lot more (e.g. release new music, finish his autobiography, perform at charitable events). I don't think it's because he's only in it for the money. He's an artist at heart and I'm sure he wants to create - there just seems to be a blockage there. In terms of COVID-19, no-one really know what's going on behind the scenes. Perhaps some in "the GnR camp" are unwell or know people who aren't faring well. You need to be particularly motivated to be there for your fans during a time like this. But, having been a fan since 1987, I do agree on one important point: new material in any form is desperately in order!

Thoughtful email and probably close to reality...

"What the fuck do you know? That's right! You don't know jack fucking shit you fucking ignorant, know it all, fucking deluded, misguided, self important, self righteous, pious, small minded, clueless, loud mouthed, arrogant cunt. No one needs your opinions n' having to deal with your constant abuse of privileges or the miniscule amount of power you've had here you wield like an angry, lesbian, wannabe, high school parking lot rent-a-cop always mouthing off like you're some kind of authority which you're far from. I have to say it saddens me you continue to babble your horseshit to unsuspecting fans n' any names n' numbers you have are of people like you who try n' hurt others to promote themselves at their expense. That's the only real thing you got bitch. It's like Revolver's if not edited, cloudy recollection of events as I've never asked for anyone's shirt bein' thrown out of anywhere let alone say I did but hey he won a contest so he must be credible, whatever, no good deed goes unpunished. I don't work for you or have to do a goddamn thing you think ever. Your opinions of anything whatsoever don't count or mean jack shit to me or anyone in this camp. You're garbage, plain and simple. You're not a fan or a voice of reason... you're a sick n' diseased mind spilling it's bile over the internet. Well now you can drink up the rewards of the crap that's been spillin' out of your pie hole forever here n' enjoy the fermented, feted n' vulgar response you've been cultivating n' aching for... for so long . Find another board this one doesn't need you. Oh n' feel free to jump in all you wanna be web warriors, ho defenders n' bitch boi's, you ain't needed either. For the rest of you... Surprise gigs comin'!!"

I think if i remember the bands attitude during 87 to 93 they seemed to be fan friendly. Especially with onstage axl rants just before the illusions came out with dissing Geffen for taking ages on releasing the albums. Then telling fans onstage during the illusion period of mixing up the setlist.

Then it seems sometime during the nuguns phase it was "we as a band owe the fans nothing. A fan pays for a ticket we play". nothing more nothing less. Somewhere axl no longer cared about what fans thought about gnr. I dont know why. If i read somd of the online chats axl had with fans, he had a real cut and dried type response. Maybe it was to do with the age of the internet, who knows.

One of the reasons could very well be the internet, so called 'information' must have quadrupled including a load of made up stuff etc

  5. I am probably being naive here, but do you think they know that fans are disgruntled at no new music?  Are none of them proud to be part of Guns n Roses anymore?  For example I was proud when I received my degree and still feel the same now but Axl, Duff and Slash no longer feel like this?  Do you think they feel any kind of shame at doing the same thing over and over again with no new contributions?  Trying to get my head around this.

If 500 $ make or break you, then yes. Total dipshits. That's why you have savings, so you can get by should something unexpected happen. And I never disputed that the option should be there.

Wow such black and white thinking, if we all followed your economic philosophy then enjoyment for the low paid would be outlawed...indeed punishable.
