Axl Sued For Sexual Assault
Rindmelon replied to downzy's topic in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
yep...that has to be the weirdest thing I have seen from the fanbase ever. -
They need to use his real Steiner name but yeah he is really good. I assume Drew (who has been great lately) will win it back as well.
-
I think he was part working the money mark with all that 2024 stuff, in this new era of WWE he would fit in so well. His promo's and work in the ring are great, can see why CM Punk thought it was the best thing he did there working with him. A few people like Becky's contracts are up soon but even if TK brought them in I don't see them moving the needle, Mercedes Mone hasn't been there long and already it's like she doesn't matter.

The AEW ratings are crumbling and to try and pop a one off rating they had to use CM Punk who isn't even with them anymore. It pretty much shows it as Punk described on Ariels show, the only thing he seemed to have left out was that he pushed Jack Perry although tbf he did say something about not letting him get close so I guess pushing him achieved that. They are so fucking amateur as a company, they are completely floundering and it's a shame. WWE on the other hand are on fire right now. I didn't go to Mania, I watched night 2 at 4:30 in the morning drunk in a bar but the energy levels over it were insane, so happy Vince is gone. For anyone who hasn't seen this yet it's worth a watch. Could have done without the superkick fest of the Uso's match. But main event's were really good

Your favorite Axl Rose notes? ππ€π‘

I remember that, was one of those 'where the fuck did that come from?' moments -
The bridge in "Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul aka The Soul Monster (working title Leave Me Alone)" which will no doubt end up "Soul Monster". I think it's our most Black Sabbath moment. Sang it on a Christmas eve. Imo the meanest section of anything I've sung to date. Which having said that I'm sure when it's heard others may disagree but we felt it was a Christmas card of unadulterated venom so to speak. I felt a lot better afterwards. (Axl Rose , Here Today... The last 'I would do anything for you' in TWAT, The same part in IRS Karice mentioned. Also 'Who ever thought I'd be around to shed a light on you? in Monsters. -
The second one screams 1993/4 UK pop charts style, the keys are like something you might hear from a Factory Records era song that didn't quite make it. Any movement on ' Everyone knows that'?

I mean realistically we will probably never know for sure either way, but one of the small things that kind of leads me to think it might not just be vocals created for the remix are the voices in the background. The spoken word parts of 'blood in the water' sound like Brain or at least somebody else that's not Axl & if the vocals for the song were done just for the remix then why not have Axl do those parts as well. Where as if Brain just sampled a line from another song, or even an unused acapella idea or something then it seems a bit more logical he would have to fill it out himself with those backing vocals (if you can really call them that). TBF the best person to ask him would be @Gambit83 if he ever has him on his show again. I hope he does because I'd like to know for sure either way

Yeah it was the only thing that really made sense at that time. If correct then it's kind of weird that recreations of monsters by Evader and others might have made them change how they registered it. Of course when Evader made that song he titled it The General, & so did I with that video I did where i tried to pick out the lyrics. Ironically the only word I did get right was 'Monsters' lol In retrospect I should have figured it out from that.

Ah but it can't be as Axl sings 'I don't have hopes & dreams' -
Well i guess it narrows it down slightly in the sense that we know the BITW vocals don't come from either of those two songs and we didn't know that before. At least i think that's what he was getting at. Only @Its Tino knows what he meant. Vocals could be from another song or specifically for that remix I guess but if they were just for the remix then why only one line? who knows for sure

Live Era detailed analysis

There were suggestions on fan sites and rock music blogs way back in the day that it being a half live and half studio version was a compromise. If I remember right the idea was that Axl wanted a full studio rerecorded version in the movie and soundtrack, but Slash and Duff objected hence it's not on the soundtrack at all and is half and half. Who knows if that's true or not. It's one of those weird things the band has done and then basically pretends never happened. -
@Gordon Comstock 8 years should be nothing to you man
