I've read somewhere that the O2 show is coming out too. I wonder if a couple new studio tracks will hit one if the CD's. We WERE promised 2 or 3 new songs.

Here's hoping.

I heard about the O2 coming out also.

It was in the announcement thread on Nightrain forum.

We WERE promised 2 or 3 new songs.

By who?

He's confusing that to the 3 new songs that you said the band would be (plans change so not gonna burn you if it doesn't happen) playing this year.

If you go into expecting 2010 you will set yourself up for disapointment.

Infact, watch bridge school before you watch this show and see how much he improved in a few weeks.

This may be the worst argument for Axls voice I've ever read.

Well I suggest you don't watch it.

A digital version of the 02 is going to nightrain.

There wont be any new songs as this is a vegas release and at 2hrs.47mins they are already struggling for CD (3discs) space.

go buy Smashing Pumpkins Oceania 3D....the 3D and 2D both look great and those filming conditions were not nearly as good as GNR filming was. Not saying everyone is a hater, just the ones that say something is crap, before they even see it from my perspective... We feel the show is visually stunning and sounds awesome. We love GNR fans and we are huge fans ourselves.

I full think the 3D will look good. The main thing myself and another member were discussing is that 3D tends to suffer a bit whenever the 3D and 2D are on the same disc. That said, I still think it'll look and sound great. Just wish the CD came with the 3D edition, and a 7.1 mix would be nice ;)

The concert film's probably over 2 hours long so they should have separate discs. If this goes well, Axl should turn over the archive UYI footage to them and put it out in 2016, 25th anniversary of UYI.

I wonder if the O2 performance is the full show or the edited versions like we've gotten so far.

Either way, don't think I'll ever get around to authoring the DVD of the WOWOW version like I had planned for the last year or so. Just doesn't seem worth it if we'll be getting an "official" version eventually.

Pretty sure there is an authored version of the WOWOW source...

Also, I took it to mean the O2 gig would be a streaming exclusive or something for Nightrain members.

We were told the band were planning to play two or three new songs. It's absolutely bizarre how somebody has interpreted that as GNR promising to play 2 or 3 new songs lol. Edited by NGOG

I never saw an authored DVD of the WOWOW source. I could be wrong though. The audio was extremely low though, I would have had to find a program to up the audio somehow and make it worthwhile.

Also, even if it was a streaming exclusive doesn't mean it can't be ripped ;)

Agreed. Would the touring be pointless if they decide not to play the 2-3 new songs?

I'm gonna go with yes. Beyond nostalgia purposes, yes. :shrugs:

Probably not for GNR - they'll make money and earn plaudits as a well-oiled touring band. Or the vast majority of people that go to concerts (they really only care about hearing the hits of any artist).

For a lot of the dedicated fans? Arguably so.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'll be buying and watching it anyway ;)

Any comparison to Bridge School pretty much cancels out your argument. It's literally like saying "well, at least it's not the absolute very worst he could've possibly sounded".

I hope there's vocal overdubs but I doubt there will be.

By you, no? Maybe promised was the wrong word, but you mentioned 2 or 3 new songs would come out this year in your breaking new thread.

The thread hasn't gone anywhere, go and familiarize yourself with. That is definitely not what was said.

I'll check when I get home, but I'm almost positive my copy is fully authored. But IIRC, the volume is still pretty low.

Alright dude, my bad.

To clarify, I wasn't being a dick or anything, I just misread / misunderstood the announcement.

I'm totally on the prefer-a-blu-ray-CD-combo-option bandwagon.

I'll only buy the CD/DVD if it comes in a jewel case, I hate digipaks and q paks. If not I'll get the blu ray, and maybe download it on iTunes, if it's available there.

MYGNR EXCLUSIVE: BREAKING NEWS ON GNR PLANS FOR 2014

Contrary to the feeling of frustration enveloping MyGNR, the Media Crew can exclusively tell you that things will be hotting up for GNR in 2014.

As previous reports have loosely alluded to, the band will once again embark on a period of touring. Starting in Mexico during mid-March, GNR will pursue a full South American Tour.

If you're elsewhere in the globe however, fear not, because Guns N' Roses will also be hitting parts of the US. This will include a highly-anticipated return to the location of last year's residency - VEGAS.

Furthermore, hold off on labelling this as further pointless touring. We can also exclusively reveal that the band are planning to present 2 to 3 new songs during next year's touring.

But there's more...

A lot more. While we aren't at liberty to divulge any further, MyGNR encourages you to approach 2014 with a clear sense of optimism.

Brought to you by the MyGNR Media Crew

"Planning to present 2 to 3 new songs during the tour"

If you don't want people to misunderstand you, don't be so ambiguous. The "but theres more...A lot more" is still laughable as well.

Just calling a spade a spade.
