Working with troubled kids and abused kids. Worked in some capacity in music - maybe A&R, maybe in radio, something he prob. would have wanted to do freelance work and not have to be on a clock. Most types of employment do not allow you to bend the rules or not show up because you slept for 3 days. Being a rockstar was just about the perfect job for him.
