Amir
Well, Hesitation Marks is out and we're 3/4 of the way through the year, so I thought I'd put this together for now:1. Daft Punk - Random Access Memories (now in my All-Time Top 5, too)2. Ludovico Einaudi - In A Time Lapse3. Nine Inch Nails - Hesitation Marks4. Avenged Sevenfold - Hail to the King5. The Great Gatsby (this is here because of the Lana Del Rey, Florence + the Machine, and The xx tracks)6. M83 & Joseph Trapanese - Oblivion7. Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork8. Yeezus - Kanye West9. How To Destroy Angels - Welcome Oblivion10. Alice in Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs HereHonorable mentions:- David Bowie - The Next Day- Kavinsky - OutRun- The Civil Wars- The Civil Wars (The One That Got Away is great, album as a whole isn't bad)- Fuck Buttons - Slow Focus (just checking this out now, loved their track Surf Solar from a few years back, this sounds like more of the same, which is great)Some surprises for me: I'm not a huge A7X or QOTSA fan, but was surprised by how old-school metal the former album was and just how great the latter was. Also expected to rate Kanye higher and have Bowie in my Top 10, and maybe have AiC a bit higher; they were all good albums, though.Any albums you guys are looking forward to for the rest of the year? Amir
Was surprised myself. Like wasted said, you know a song's METAL when there's church bells.I liked about half of Yeezus (I actually thought Hold My Liquor was brilliant), but My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is still my favourite Yeezy album (also in my All-Time Top 5). Powerage5
Pretty sure all I've picked up this year is Anthems (Anthrax), 13 (Sabbath), The Next Day (Bowie), and Where Does This Door Go (Mayer Hawthorne). Can't rank Anthems since its a cover album, don't care for 13, and really dig The Next Day and WDTDG
Amir
I was going to give 13 a dishonourable mention. I'm sure if Rick Rubin stayed away from it, it wouldn't have been *quite* so bad. Sad that a Sabbath album turned out so poor. That said, Rubin + Kanye turned out pretty good. bacardimayne
I haven't listened to enough this year to make a top 10, but Random Access Memories is definitely my favorite album of the year so far. HM to Yeezus. Brilliant, but not so much as RAM.

izzygirl
A bit early perhaps? We are ONLY 2/3 of the way through the year and a few big releases are still due later this year. For example, given what I've heard of the new album I would say the new Arctic Monkeys album "AM" will be my favourite. And the new Eminem album will be there too, probably. And Motorhead should release a new work this year (if everything is ok). From the ones already out, I think I choose David Bowie (The next day), Airbourne (Black Dog Barking) and Sabbath. But as I said, in a couple of weeks, Arctic Monkeys will be my favourite. Edited August 28, 2013 by izzygirl

Jesus... I don't have 50 albums that I like from the last two decades, let alone the last eight months.edit: ok, that was a bit of an exaggeration. I checked my iTunes library and 50 albums takes me as far back as 2007.On topic: Push the Sky Away is the only 2013 album I've heard. I like it, but not especially. Chinaski
I've still got a few records I'm waiting for this year.I'm looking forward to the new Arctic Monkeys record. Sounds a good change of pace for them. I'm curious about the new Babyshambles although what I've heard so far hasn't quite been up to par. The new Manics record is getting great reviews so that'll no doubt make my list. The National and Nick Cave are probably the only two real highlights so far for me. I liked Mona's new record a lot. Yeezus was pretty good. Beady Eye was better than expected. I've not really got into the new QOTSA or NIN yet but I'm sure I will. I don't think I've really got ten I'm definitely a fan of yet. Amir
Top 50 of 2013? Jesus... I don't have 50 albums that I like from the last two decades, let alone the last eight months.Playlist is 50 tracks, from only 12 or so albums.I'll be listening out for Em' though Same, but I really liked Recovery, so I'm not sure MMLP2 will be my thing (though MMLP1 is my 3rd fave Eminem album, after Recovery and The Eminem Show). Amir
Completely forgot we got a new Fleetwood Mac EP this year as well.Unfortunately, it's pants :/ Some of the worst mixing I've heard on a professional album (shows that they didn't go with a label). MB.
Can't make a top 10, haven't listened enough. But I liked Kayne West, David Bowie, Armin van Buuren, Alice in Chains, Daft Punk so far.Still waiting for John Legend and Eminem.
