Bolivia altitude might affect performance

Recommended Posts

La Paz where they are playing has an altitude of 3,640 m ( 11,942 ft ) which means air is very thin and for non locals is hard to breath specially

under intense physical activity. When they have international soccer games it always affects the visiting team cause they run outta breath pretty

quick.

I guess the band and Axl specially will have oxygen tanks in the dressing room...will be interesting to see this one.

Well, if he leaves Paraguay as soon after the show there as possible, and limits running around... He'll still probably get out of breath, but less so.

Not gonna be one for the boot-collectors, hopefully it's decent enough for the fans attending. What major acts have played Bolivia recently?

Not really Amir. The body takes a lot of time to acclimatize. Doctors recommend a choice between 2 courses of action: either get there a week to 10 days earlier and adapt fully, or get in there just before the soccer match (show, in this case) do your shit and get the fuck out. A couple of the days is the worse of both worlds: you experience peak side effects and haven't acclimatized yet.

Well, we're screwed then.

Hopefully the crowd is so noisy they won't hear him. But hey, Recife will seem like a cakewalk after La Paz!
