Popular Post John Bonham
Guns N' Roses have announced new plans for a residency in Las Vegas but how will they be received? The boys of Guns N' Roses dont appear to have been too active over the last few years in fact, nothing has come out of the studio since Chinese Democracy, released in 2008. While there were rumors last year that the band were bringing out a new album, no such masterpiece materialized, so the news has come as a big surprise for fans. The rockers will be taking to the streets of Vegas, specifically, taking up a residency at the Hard Rock Cafe for nine nights between May 21 and June 7. Their show title will give a subtle nod to the album that made them such a success, Appetite for Destruction, with the apt name of "No Trickery! An Evening of Destruction." The Hard Rock Café couldnt be a more appropriate location for the boys, with its Vegas location promising a vacation of fun and debauchery for all hardcore fans. Given that their fan base lies predominantly in the '80s however, even the most loyal of followers may be getting a little old to be trashing up hotel rooms, so should probably consider getting the Vegas effect from a session of online casino fun like at http://GamingClub.co.uk and an old vinyl instead. Age doesnt seem to stop Guns N' Roses however, who are indulging in all of todays modern whims as much as the next teenager. Lead singer Axl Rose, in particular, has been seen to be quite an active social commentator on Twitter, most notably recently being less than impressed with the Red Hot Chili Peppers' miming at the Super Bowl Half Time Show in February. Meanwhile, former lead guitarist Slash has also been keeping himself in the limelight recently. Earlier this month he hosted and judged the first ever artist-sponsored "Hackathon" which was aptly renamed in his honor to a "Slashathon." The event challenged tech developers to make applications and technology that will help fans interact with their fan bases for an album release, with the winner taking home a Gibson guitar signed by the guitarist himself. The band have said they are "very excited" to be performing in Vegas and could certainly use the promotion prior to Chinese Democracy, they hadn't released an album in 15 years. We just hope it's not a simple publicity stunt to market Slash's new album. http://www.harderbloggerfaster.com/guns-n-roses-comeback-tour-2014-to-start-soon/

Apollo
In all seriousness though, if Axl's voice is OK and they play a couple new songs, this Vegas thing could be a real shot in the arm for GnR.The SA tour and the Duff shows was a great start. The Golden God show was a black eye. But the band could easily gain a ton of positive momentum in Vegas.

niceguy
What will the boys of GNR do next? Yuck yuck!Bbf truly has matured from his early days on the Strip, where he and DJ and Frank and the rest of GNR would prowl late at night, giving rise to such 80s anthems as "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Sckacklers Revenge."Those crazy GNR boys! JoePerry954
I don't get it. Why no mention of the icon DJ Ashba or shredder supreme, BBF?I just don't get it. To be honest, I think the most plausible thing is this clueless person watched a recent vid of GNR and just thought that no-one would have the audacity to replace Slash and wear a top hat, so naturally just thought it was Slash lol.No Trickery.

I get the impression the whole Vegas thing, is an Axl ego trip.. it's not for the fans.. old Axl just wants to stand on stage, in Vegas, with people all looking at him, while he moves about as much as he can these days, micky-mousing away, backed up by a bunch of hired hands who are paid to perform to the best of their ability to make him (Axl) look good.. i really doubt, after 2014 Axl will take to stage again..
Bruno P.
Oh, another cash and grab tour? Nice, Axl. At this rate you might get another lifetime achievement - but this time you'll win the "most boring musician that ever lived" award.

John Bonham
Guys, this thread isn't about me -- it's about the boys' 2014 comeback tour, and their return to the debauched streets of Vegas.
