Free Bird
Okay okay you buy the versions of Duff & Slash, the quitters. And just blame Axl, like sheep. Huge contributed more to Guns post 96 than Slash & Duff did, all it became for those two was yearly royalties and business opportunities since they were still Axl's business partners. It's all the fans? Bullshit.Discussion with you is pointless. Why should they don't get royalties? Didn't they contribute their parts for GNR's success? What these guys contributed before '96 to the band lasts till this day. Without them Axl wouldn't be able to pay his musicans or tour big festivals and arenas. What did Paul do? If he would be a real friend of Axl he wouldn't join the band. He could talk to him and say that it doesn't work, that the band is falling apart. He didn't. That's his contribution. He was Axl's Finishing Move of the last true hard rock band. No more no less.I know you're a blind Axl fanatic but can't you see the obvious? Bringing a friend in one of the biggest bands in the world against every other members willingness? To be that disrespectful to your lead guitarist to overplay his guitar parts and releasing the song without telling anybody about that? That's not how it works in a band. And that's why new Guns ain't a band but Axl Rose and a bunch of hired hands.

He didn't get all bent out of shape because his 3-4 minutes worth of soloing on a song from the sixties got a slight cord over his own, if they played it live it would happen a whole lot more, if roadies or somebody turned his amp down..real professional!!!You only hire hands...when your main players quit, not everybody's expendable. wkuk04
The breakup of the band alienated the fanbase. They are all to blame. The song is not bad, there's worse things on the illusions. Edited August 8, 2015 by wkuk04

wkuk04
Surprised at Slash for bashing SFTD. If everything his says is the truth then wtf is that turd of a paradise city cover. Maybe Guns covered too many Stones songs, they only sounded decent when Izzy was in the band.

Maybe Guns covered too many Stones songs, they only sounded decent when Izzy was in the band. But what about the horrid big daddy soundtrack scom version? what's the excuse for that turd? Slash releases a lot of material, not everything works everytime. Both Axl and Slash fucked with classics that were already perfect, but it doesn't really change the status of SCOM and Paradise City.A lot of artists release reworked or remixed versions of old songs years after the originals were released. One example is Enjoy The Silence.
