Anguyen92
Good news, Australia people. They coming to your continent in late February 2015.Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators will be playing Soundwave 2015 in Australia. Soundwave members will be able to get tickets as part of a pre-sale on August 22nd at 12pm. The general on-sale tickets will be available for sale on Friday, August 29th local time.http://slashonline.com/2014/08/19/slash-ft-myles-kennedy-and-the-conspirators-playing-soundwave-2015/The line-up is on this site. http://soundwavefestival.com/They will probably get one hour for five shows and may book two headlining shows in the big markets (Sydney and Melbourne). Val22
The Dallas Morning News reviewed the Aerosmith/Slash tour.It gave Aerosmith a great review.Slash did well too, but of course, once he started playing the riffs for Sweet Child of Mine, they got the biggest applause. The concert was in American Airlines center which was good because it was very hot in Dallas yesterday and this is in indoor venue.Aerosmith played all their hits, which is good. That's usually what fans want to hear. Their drummer was there too. He had been out ill for a few shows.Unfortunately, these guys are getting older now and you just never know how long you can do this? Anguyen92
It's gonna suck if most of the place is filled with high rollers who are there only because they got their tickets comped. That's the funny thing. I manage to get my ticket at the Pechanga casino show at a lower price because I knew someone that is a regular there. The crowd there was pretty much so-so. It looked packed (probably 85%-95%) although people were coming in and out throughout the show which makes it hard to tell on how many people actually came. For the most part, at least, it wasn't half-empty. Edited August 25, 2014 by Anguyen92

Anguyen92
Dang, dude. How long until they get back to the states to properly tour the album? My main concern is that I believe bands feed off the audience. So if it's mostly a lame crowd that clearly isn't into the music, it could affect both the quality and length of the show. I hope I'm wrong. Oh yeah, that's a totally fair point. Sometimes, I felt, during the show, that I was probably the only guy in the crowd that actually knew this band to the fullest detail (and that's not really the case. I know a lot about them, but not really to the full detail). I'm sure most of them were there just to see Slash the guitarist and what he's doing nowadays, post-GNR and VR, rather than seeing Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators and know, ahead of time, what they can bring to the table in a live show. gunsfanoldie
Dang, dude. How long until they get back to the states to properly tour the album?Unfortunately, he won't be back till at least early 2015. He's got the rest of the year booked up with finishing the Aerosmith tour, a European tour in November and December, and Myles touring with Alter Bridge in October. I believe Alter Bridge is finished touring this year, which would leave next year wide open. If history is any indication, it seems when everyone is free, Slash likes to fill in as many dates as possible with touring. So, there's the Australia shows in February of 2015. My guess is he'll probably tour after those, in around March or April. Maybe he'll squeeze some stuff beforehand in January, but I'm not expecting a headlining Slash show anywhere near me for the next 7 months.Unfortunate, but understandable. And hey, it gives me plenty of time to really get acquainted with that 17 song album he has coming out, which I assume I'll be craving by the time he comes in my area!
