magisme Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Thirty years. Wow. Thanks for peacing out, Tracii and Rob.Looks like they hadn't written any of their good songs yet. Either that or these songs are too complex for me.

Subtle Signs Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I wish I could have seen a pre-1992 show. Then again there are kids on here who wish they could have seen a 2002 show. I was lucky enough to see a show in 92 and 2002. GnR will live forever even when old timers like me kick it as there are always new kids discovering the band for the first time. 2

Sure that line-up only rehearsed once, but those are Axl/Izzy songs pre Guns. Edited June 7, 2015 by AtariLegend

I don't like the other two at all.

Gackt Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Axl Rose has always been the David Bowie of hard rock when it comes to staying ahead of the game, truly an influential revolutionary from day one
Popular Post recklessroad Posted June 7, 2015 Popular Post Posted June 7, 2015 Hey Marc, i saw that you're viewing this thread Since you are the only one here who have witnessed this historic performance, do you wanna share any insights or memories? (I will read again Reckless Road today )Where did the time go, seems like 10 or 15 years ago. It was a lot of fun to see Axl and Slash back together again. It was 10 months since they broke up Hollywood Rose. It was also cool to have Izzy and Duff in the band. I knew them from before but now they were in the band and had something to offer. The music was a lot slower than it was in Hollywood Rose and this time had a nice grove to it. Steven was only using 1 bass drum and that was a big part of why it sounded so good. Now you could really hear Axl and the grove really helped bring out Slash's solos. They all looked great on stage together and the music was really good. Dont cry was the highlight because of the different ranges of Axl's voice, Slash's killer guitar solo and the fact that it was their song. You knew that more songs were going to come. Heartbreak Hotal was also a great song for the band and it was a good song to end with. It was a very exciting time and after that, they started working together as a band when writing songs. The rest is history. 10

EvH Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Move To The City is awesome. The band jam was the only good thing about the bloated UYI tour line up.
