Was watching some of the nu-Guns bootlegs earlier in that thread about Axl's 2010 voice and the tempo was much slower. I believe they are speeding up the songs in order to create more energy/urgency. In a strange way it kinda works. Surely if Frank was going faster than Axl/Slash/Duff wanted him to, the boys would tell him to slow down. At this point I'd say its fairly certain this was a band decision to breathe a little life into these songs, most which have been played hundreds upon hundreds of times over the past 30 years.
