A Tale of Two Coreys (relevant to Steve Adler's experiences in Hollywood, as told in his autobiography).

I didn't like either of the Coreys much, or its depiction of Hollywood and L.A. people, but they had their good points, and didn't deserve to be preyed upon.

I don't want to live in a world where Corey Feldman gets bummed and Justin Bieber doesn't.

Daddy's home 2

I actually thought this was better than DH 1. Mel Gibson stole this movie. He was so funny.

Attended an early screening of Mission: Impossible: Fallout.

Incredibly awesome movie. Probably the best in the series. Will definitely be seeing it again.

I love the MI movies. I've seen them on cable. tom Cruise is awesome and the movies are so action packed and with a good storyline. Angela Bassette is in it too. I love her.

Thanks, yes. I wonder if Axl seemed to feel contempt for Steven, according to Steven in his book, because Steven had seemed to 'accept' his abuse, as the Coreys seemed to do.

Feldman did seem more moral and faithful than Haim in the movie, although I think it was Feldman's story, as it was made this year, after he brought up the complaints again in the media last year, and Haim died in 2010.

Both their lives seemed to support the image of Hollywood and the L.A. scene of being shallow and ruthless, but there were (too) good times to be had partying etc, which is what youth is mostly about to most youth.

I don't think Axl would feel contempt towards Steven. Steven was so high for the abuse and since he was a kid, he felt guilty, but it wasn't his fault. He just put himself in those horrible positions.

I'm sure Axl feels sympathy towards him. Everyone who was abused deserves help and should not be judged.

Yeah, Hollywood is not kind sometimes. We are seeing it and hearing it now with the "me too" movement. I hope it changes things for all people.

I wonder what the comic was like!

If you click the link you could buy Matrix's whole old SWAT team and recreate a sort of prequel on your bedroom floor.

I never had a Commando figure but I did have a Robocop one which was even more violent (and far more sexual). I think I may have had ED-209 also?

God bless the 1980s haha

Do you think it was just intelligence? Musical intelligence at least? Or just slack attitude?

Sometimes shit happens. Steven was young and taking drugs and in the wrong places with people who took advantage of him. It happens all the time.

As for Hollywood, it has happened since Hollywood began. There have been many actresses who have been sexually abused and are long dead now. Who speaks for them? no one.

Anytime you have men or women in powerful positions, some will take advantage over others.

How can anyone blame the victim? I doubt Axl is that narrow minded.

My mom has a Bruce Lee action figure just like that one! Cool!

Because a man can only hack so much Opera   Nighthawks is actually a decent film.

Well, Sly, an Italian, I'm sure likes a bit of Verdi.

Nighthawks is almost brilliant - Rutger Hauer is terrific in it. Quite edgy and topical actually. Stallone has a few of these sleeper ''actory'' films if you hunt them out. Over the Top is quintessentially 1980s fare; you wince at the Springsteen politics and schmaltz but you'll be joyfully screaming ''Adrian'' at the denouement like any god damn American.

FIST is pretty good too.  And Copland.  I’ve seen loads of his early stuff too, even stuff where he has just like a cameo, like Bannanas and Capone, though Capone is more a small role than a cameo.  I’ve even see the porno he did.  Lords of Flatbush is a cool early role of his too.  He’s also in Klute and Farewell My Lovely with Robert Mitchum when he’s playing Marlowe.

Around the time of Rocky some claimed him to be the next Brando.  Dropped a bollock there eh?  Rockys entire backstory is stolen from On the Waterfront anyway.

I have not had the pleasure of seeing Party at Kitty and Stud's (aka Italian Stallion).

He has a cameo in Staying Alive which he was also directing, when he bumps into Travolta on the street. That is that stupendously bad Saturday Night Fever sequel.
