joe123
Maybe I am wrong. That solo just does not sound like buckethead to me at all.
supersillyspacemonkey
while it is possible that slash could have recently been recording some tracks since BH left these one we have now are not slash as they were made in 2004 and back then there was no chance
Guest Matt13
Good points. But we never had the solo that is just after 3 minutes into the song before. That does sound like Slash.Wrong. You're not in the loop:)Three different versions of IRS were leaked... all from the same recording, just differnt lenghts. The last one was pretty much the entire song less the beginning... but not as good quality as this latest release. That means the leak from last summer HAS the solo you're referring to through the end of the song. When dumped on top of the newer leak, they're exactly the same.IT'S NOT SLASH. busngabb
Stop speculating.GNR is beyond secret. It is such a massive fecking secret that not one of you knows who is in the current lineup, if there is one, and not one of you knows who is on that track. It could be Elvis and JFK busting the solos for all you know. joe123
alright, thanks for the info. I've got the old demos and never noticed it before hearing the new version. You are probably right that it is not Slash. But who ever it is, sure does sound like him. And that is a good thing.

And that is a good thing.Slash is capable of playing a solo like this one, but it's certainly Buckethead doing so in this case. I've been a fan of his since way before he was even in Guns, and I'd know his shredding anywhere.
Kickingthehabit
Bucket hasn't released an album in like 5 months. Maybe he's back in GN'R Buckethead is on tour supporting his latest effort, 'Enter the Chicken'..-Kickingthehabit
zepsun
First of all it's not Slash....this solo has BH's apathetic note-choice written all over it...And since when did Tapping become hard? Tapping is fuckin easy and has been around since EVH took it to mainstream in the 70's....tapping is easier than one handed solos....And if you're looking for speed...BH isn't even the fastest at it...some other guy has the guiness record for notes per second...That said I do like these tunes aside from both intros which I think are kind of weak and the lyrics in IRS are horribly weak as well...But the songs are good. Better sounds like it will have a deadly chorus..it builds up quite well.i'm still waiting for something mind-blowing like the intro for Jungle and Don't Cry...or the solos in Nightrain and Estranged. Bucket hasn't released an album in like 5 months. Maybe he's back in GN'R Buckethead is on tour supporting his latest effort, 'Enter the Chicken'..-KickingthehabitLOL....sounds like a beastality porn...lolHow could his publicist not have seen that....stupid puppet should be fired. joe123
I just don't know how some of you seem so certain it is him on TWAT. It does not sound like his style at all to me. It just doesn't. And that's no knock on BH. He is incredible. But it does not sound like him at all.
rocketking
Even if it's Bucket actually on the songs, I'm sure whoever replaces him would imitate the parts for CD.... FUCK, I can't even think straight right now! 3 songs in 2 days?!?!? My head is about to explode. I've had these 3 on a constant loop for like 4 hours straight!!!!!!!!!!!! oneway23
It would be quite the loss....even more reason to cherish these demos...audio evidence of the big B's tenure in GNR...Although I will say that I hope his parts remain

SlashisGOD
I may get slammed for this, but Bucket's solos are mostly simple shredding. I'm not denying he's an awesome guitarist, but calling him better than Slash is absurd. Of course they play different styles though. I've been playing guitar for roughly 10 years and I can do the shredding solos easily. Once again, Buckethead is great and I do hope his parts are still on the album. firecrown
I dunno..In the 6:43 version of TWAT it has a more extended guitar solo and sounds more like Bucket towards the end of it rather than Fink of Fortus. I guess we'll just have to wait for the album credits...
