Did you have an extra or just get rid of it?The only Kiss LPs I have are 2 hits packages (Double Platinum and Smash, Thrashes & Hits) and Alive III and Unplugged. I think that's all I'll ever need to own... actually that's probably a lot more than I need haha.

Anyone know what the ¡BTO! means?Apocalyptic Love vinyl I picked up factory sealed for 20 bucks (It's a German Import, they normally run around 50 bucks)The Beatles: A Hard Day's Night Soundtrack I picked up for 4 bucks (Cover is pretty dirty)John Lennon: Walls and Bridges (Got this for 3 bucks. Cover isn't in great shape, but vinyl plays perfectly)Patience b/w Rocket Queen 7" (Still has the Jukebox tag inside!)Sweet Child O' Mine b/w It's So Easy (Live in London) [yellow] and Yesterdays b/w Yesterdays (Live in Las Vegas AKA Live Era version...still has Jukebox tag!) RussTCB
Nice work! The only GN'R related LP I have that's signed is One Man Mutiny. I have several other records that are signed but since I keep all my LPs in poly bags, they're just filed with the rest.

AxlsAngel
I haven't listened to anything on vinyl in a long time... I had quite a few albums but lost them all in our house fire. I'm 90% sure one of my local stores has one though for the regular price. I'll look next time I'm there if you want. I can grab it for you and we can work out PayPal for it or something. I've done that a lot for forum friends in the past and I never charge more than it cost me to buy, so you don't have to worry that I'd be making money on it I love Shake and Southern as well but the originals have been out of print so long that they're expensive so I'm stoked about the re-releases. Lions and By Your Side or EXTREMELY hard to come by. The cheapest I've ever seen either of them is like $250 or so and I've seen both go for over $400. I like both albums a lot and I've been known to spend a LOT on one record, but that much I cannot justify haha. Those are good picks you just got. One of my local shops is having a 20% sale so I just grabbed The 2nd Law by Muse finally seeing as I only wanted it for one song (Madness) and I got a copy of Pink Floyd's Obscured By Clouds in GREAT condition for $10 so I'm pumped!edit-BTW, the store that might have Croweology is the same store that had the 2002 Tour sticker. I'd be glad to check for that too if you like.I haven't listened to anything on vinyl in a long time... I had quite a few albums but lost them all in our house fire. Maybe I should start collecting them and try to replace the ones I lost... sounds like a good idea! I just love the sound of vinyl. highvoltage
So I have a tiny collection, probably 15 or so vinyls that I've picked up from various places over the years.Problem is, I don't have a (working) player. I'm a uni student, so I can't afford anything expensive. Are you guys saying I have to wait until I'm working full time before I can play any of them? Or can I still pick something second hand up that won't damage my vinyls?Any suggestions on the following options? I've got one a little bit like the second one, but mine's got a radio player and built in speakers. I think it was $150 brand newEdit: This is the one I have (I was way off on the price. RussTCB
Yeah, not sure that those cheaper new ones are necessarily any better than the older models which is why I'm looking at something second hand.Yep. When I buy "new" vinyl it's usually because it's a new release. There's been a couple exceptions like the new re-issue of In Utero which I spent a lot on because I read great reviews. I was massively disappointed by that one so it'll be a while before I do that again.I've also been cutting back lately on WAY over priced new release LPs. For example, I went to the record store yesterday specifically to pick up the new Pearl Jam only to find out that it was THIRTY FIVE NINETY NINE.....FOR A SINGLE LP.........FUCKING WHAT?? And it's not that my store is just over priced, I got my phone out and looked and found that it's the going rate. Well, the can keep that LP for that price. That's just ridiculous. As for older LPs, you can find some stuff in great condition for very cheap especially with very popular albums so I usually go that route. Edit:I just remembered, I do make some exceptions and pick up the newer pressing when it ends up being cheaper. I got the 2 LP re-issue of STP's Core yesterday for $32 but only because all of the original pressings cost way more, so I just went with the cheaper of two evils haha. Out of what you have there, pretty much all of them would be great except the first and last ones. The ones in between all have a "T" mount for the stylus as opposed to the "P" mount found on the first and last. The short version of why you want the T mount is that you have a FAR greater selection to chose from down the line as you upgrade the stylus. You can get a stylus for like $50-60 to get you by for now that won't damage your LPs at all. But down the line you may want to start hearing more detail or use a micro line stylus or something and you can't do that at all with a P mount.I haven't listened to anything on vinyl in a long time... Even before my collection got to this size, I started an Excel sheet after coming home with new records a couple of times only to find out I already owned them! Haha.As for why vinyl sounds better, there's a lot of factors and in many cases it's in the ear of the listener more than anything. Thanks for the compliment on the collection Music is absolutely my passion so the collection is only that size because of how many different genres and artists I really love
