here's my answer.

only on a gn'r forum would people act like cypress hill is limp bizkit. did their cover of the song suck? well, it wasn't great. but it's not like slash had reason to think collaborating with them was instant awfulness. they were considered to be a highly influential and respected hip-hop group. people overreact.

Fergie did a pretty decent job on Slash's cover. Other than that the Budweiser version was slightly better.

I really like the Slash version. Of course it isn't as good as the original but Fergie has a good voice and I am a Cypress Hill fan anyway. Slash changed the guitars up a bit and I think they sound killer too.

Neither .... diference is, the bud's version has no artistic intention ... is just a comercial spot, so I don't even see it as a musical attempt.

In the other hand, the Cypress hill's version, pretends to be a song, in the classic sense.... so the fail is bigger.
