wfuckinga
Yes, great version. Makes the song even better.I'm actually shocked that so many of you haven't heard it before (don't want to sound like an asshole here...)
Tom-Ass
Definately cool to hear it but I don't think I really ever have to listen to it again. I was expecting alot more after reading these posts.
Amish
I believe it was cut because of the freebird similarities, remember Axl laughing about it in the Kurt loader interview outside his house before the album was finished. Be a pal and link me the interview with the time in which he said it
Zeppelin
I really prefer the studio version and how it just ends. It ends perfectly. There's already a cool jam/solo section in this song. It doesn't need another at the end, IMO.
h2sublime
Sounds great, thanks for sharing! With those that can't believe it has escaped me before this post.
Padme
Prefer the album version myself, there was no need for that outro. Thanks for the share though. That makes the two of us. it´s a cool version but it shows Izzy was still trying to put the song together. Chuzeville
Oh well. GnR had a bunch of great outros but this one sounds superfluous and I'm glad it didn't make the cut.But I like the rawness of the recording.
RNRS
I've a feeling that this is what UYI would've sounded like would Slash have had his way. Sounds very rough and gritty at times. It's remarkable what they can do with just a bit of mixing.

Chris 55
I still have all these in FLAC format too. The instrumental version of Estranged is awesome and Axl even did the melody line on piano which was cool too hear. The source is the original DAT tape that Alan Niven gave to a fan to share. It had to be converted from DAT to FLAC in order for it to be shared. This was almost 7 years ago.

Chris 55
Too bad there's numerous glitches on Estranged, though.Ah the static stuff? It's mainly at the beginning. Breakdown has some weird vocal experiments at the end. Freaked the hell out of me when I first heard it
