The PR release about Slash's visit to house...the Maddy rant...Slash is a cancer...the HOF. And some say he does a disservice not speaking out more. He's obviously still butthurt over Klinghoffer getting inducted by the HOF and playing with the band and RHCP playing with Slash at the event while he(voluntarily) sat at home. Yeah, it was lame Klinghoffer got inducted, but they needed a guitarist to perform and he's 1 replacement in a band with the rest of the members intact vs. Axl wanting to get his army of replacements in. At the SB, RHCP was not the headliner, they were to do ONE song. The NFL has a newer commissioner, the game was outdoors and policies could've tightened from years past. Anyone who doubts the band wouldn't have wanted to perform live is just plain stupid or trolling. Yes, they could've battled the league endlessly to try to get the set up to perform their 1 song live, but they decided to be appreciative of the offer and go along since it was ONE song and the halftime event is a spectacle meant to be enjoyed at a surface level by the masses. I have no doubt that if the league had asked New GNR(which of course they wouldn't), Axl would've been the biggest pain in their ass and made demand after demand like with the HOF, and be dropped for another(more relevant and appreciative) band.At this point in their careers, and for many years now, Kiedis > AxlEven with Klinghoffer, I'm With You > CDAll that said, if Ax was going to do this--at least make it FUNNY. Flea has not addressed this (Axl). He addressed the NFlL's insistence on only Anthony being live. And for the record I don't care much for the Peps live or "mined". As far as Axl's comments I think it's good humor and was just curious if Peps took high road or if they are going to return fire at Axl.
