  1. What else do we actually know about though? Of the songs in the CD2 email the only instrumental we know for sure we've heard is Tonto, so I guess I could've said that. Nothing probably sounded much different by 2008 and Eye On You was likely abandoned long before then.
  2. No, but the early instrumental demo is likely Me & My Elvis. I only mentioned it because it's one of the few songs we know has vocals.
  3. There's like 1 or 2 lines in The General that are hard to understand, same with Monsters (basically just the deep vocal parts)
  4. Monsters The General Oh My God Absurd Atlas Perhaps Hardschool State Of Grace Going Down Soul Monster That's the album we should've got back in 2010.
  5. Not even close, The General is better than the other singles and Monsters is by far the best we've heard since CD.
  6. Anyone figured out the lyrics? Idk about Monsters but most of The General is understandable... Daddy don't I swear I won't I'll be good from now on And I'm awful sorry Daddy don't The hell I won't I won't be good anymore And you'll all be sorry Can anybody tell me Why this pain it just won't stop Can anybody help me This pain it just won't stop My only regret Is that I never took the time to forget All of those fuckin' feelings That you'll never spare And those who understand (???) (?) sordid meaning(?) Don't know what to tell you now It's never really what they tell you now Don't know what to tell you now It's not really what they tell you now
  7. Surely they'll upload it to youtube, spotify, etc. to make up for such a poorly handled release. There's less than 3 hours until midnight EST time. We just...
  8. Yea I'm looking forward to the album, the title track is great. Excited to see them live in about a month
  9. They're re-printing all the artwork. Axl threw a fit when he saw the song was mistakenly titled The General, instead of the correct title THE GENEЯAL N' MONSTEЯS. As artwork is an essential part of the musical experience, and his artistic integrity is of the highest standard, all previous pressings are currently in his driveway, shattered to pieces.
  10. They waited until the day it was supposed to ship, to announced it's been delayed until the busiest time of year when everyone's ordering xmas presents. We'll hear this shit in January, if we're lucky.
  11. The GNR site currently says 'ships on October 26'. Some people will probably get their confirmation emails today.
  12. Nah, hardcore fans should know better than to give them money for toy trucks, children's books, candles, temporary tattoos, wildly overpriced reissues, and all the other shit they put out. But yea, the hardcore fan base has dwindled over time, and been made irrelevant by the sea of casuals filling the stadiums or simply checking out because this band isn't very interesting. On the other hand, this is a band with so few albums that they don't really have deep cuts in the way the Stones, Aerosmith, etc. have deep cuts, I heard plenty of people singing/cheering for songs like Bad Obsession and Pretty Tied Up at the Vancouver show. There's people who only know the hits and people who know most of their songs, there's not a lot of middle ground when you only have a few albums.
  13. Not a fan of Gaga but this is a great performance.
  14. That's weird, I just looked at the GNR site again and it still says shipping on the 26th. Originally it was the 27th, not sure when it changed, but hopefully that's true and people actually get it in the next couple days.
  15. There's no reason to think it won't be released digitally, but of course people here are expecting the worst case scenarios... understandably. None of the other singles had a big lead up, except for the unintentional jukebox shitshow. Spotify, linktree, etc are irrelevant until right before it's released. The song will drop, the band will tweet about it once, and move on. As far as I know, the only reason people assume there's no digital release was because of Universal Italy, who later deleted the part about no digital release. The Hardschool live tracks were mentioned as being physical-only, but that hasn't happened with the General. A few days ago Jarmo said something like 'why wouldn't it be available digitally?'. The Perhaps 7" is cheaper than the HS 7", you'd think with this bands Genius Managers™ they'd promote the song as vinyl-only and charge more for it if that were the case.
