  1. Looking at the Hollywood setlist, there's 10 songs I haven't seen this lineup play (11 if we count Duff's solo spot), and most of them were added this year. If they play something similar in Vancouver, I'll be happy with that. Especially if they add The General by then.
  2. He's not a mod, but he's right, you should calm down. If 'fat jokes' on the internet really make you this upset, the issue is with you. There's 1 or 2 comments like that, and you've gone off on half a dozen posts about toxicity and health issues. If you're referring to my post on the last page, with the 'who ate all the pussy shirt', you're really overreacting. Not every single comment about the guys appearance is intended as vicious or insulting, it's simply a comment about the guy who the forum is dedicated to.
  3. Very basic, but still one of the best ones from this leg of the tour.
  4. A few youtube videos (like Patience from the Gorge) and maybe 1-2 selects spread over the next year is a lot more likely than a blu ray IMO. Maybe they'll put together another live montage music video for The General but even that's a stretch. This isn't the first time they've toured with a film crew so I don't think it really means anything as far as releases are concerned.
  5. Yea this post is like a year too late. Most people here have given credit where it's due and are glad they've finally given the sets a decent shakeup...
  6. I bought that VIP package for the first show in Vegas, because it was the only option for pit by the time I was able to buy tickets. The mini litho is kind of cool, and they also sent a duffle bag, a hat, a pack of cards and maybe 1-2 other trinkets that I've never used. Totally not worth the extra $300~ I paid for the tickets, but I wasn't about to pass up an opportunity to be in the pit at that show lol.
  7. Yea the plane (Charlotte) is the best NA one so far. The best from this year overall was probably Rome though.
  8. Axl's skull on that Hollywood litho looks like a bad AI generated image. The lithos on this leg of the tour have been very hit or miss...
  9. He was definitely looking better during the European tour.
  10. Ayron is opening the Seattle show. Definitely keeping an eye on pit tickets now...
  11. I don't know why people are going with this Atlas EP rumour, but even if they release an album/EP, we'll still get less than 10 songs for about $50
  12. They reduced the number of tracks, made it 1 LP instead of 2, and are charging $11 more for the lesser version. The 2LP version is still in their store for $44. That's some great Fermanagement.
  13. Bucket, Brain and Brewer in 2017 is one of the best shows I've been to. Also saw him in 2012 (playing to a backing track) and he was still great, he handed me a gift at that show, but seeing him play with a band was special. I hope he tours in Canada again eventually.
  14. I think they've been hitting the stage pretty consistently around 8 pm, and yea they'll probably announce more openers soon. I think Seattle 2016 they didn't announce AIC until a week before the show.
  15. Damn I wish Dirty Honey were opening the Vancouver show... I saw them a year ago and they were fantastic
  16. Looked it up and I was a little off. Looking at the last several dates for the River Is Rising tour the average venue capacity was 2000-2500, some venues around 3000. Buckets last tour average venues were 1000-1500, some around 3000. I don't think saying they play 'similar' venues is ridiculous, but ok.
  17. TWAT is a top 10 GNR song IMO. I say Bucket is the best overall musician because I've listened to his projects outside GNR just like I've listened to Slash, Duff, Izzy, Bumblefoot, etc solo albums and collaborations. The emotion in Bucket's playing can be just as good as classic Slash. I never denied the fact that Slash is more iconic. But he doesn't even like his most iconic riff (SCOM) and I've been clear that popularity isn't the biggest factor here. Bucket doesn't tour outside the US so I would assume there's a bigger difference there lol. I'm not trying to shit on Slash, the last NITL shows I attended he was the star, no doubt about it. I expect he will be the most consistent/best part of the show when I see them in October. But with nuGNR in the past, it's weird that some people still get so hung up about Bucket. His persona aside, he was by far the best guitar player in the CD era and an Axl/Bucket duo had the potential to be legendary.
  18. Shackler's, but I'd want to hear Richard play the solo. Would love to hear Brain join them for that song too... has he been on tour with them at all this year? If Slash is playing the solo I'd pick If The World... but really, Shackler's is the only remaining CD song that Axl might be able to sing decently.
  19. I have no idea why it's so difficult for some people to grasp this. He's a character. You can love or hate the gimmick but it's not relevant to his playing, which was always stellar with GNR. I'm not sure how it's 'pissing on the legacy' to stand next to an amazing guitar player, but whatever. Axl has made far worse decisions than hiring Bucket. Do you not see that Slash is a gimmick at this point? Literally a halloween costume, wig and all, every time he's on stage? And just to be clear, Slash and Bucket play similar sized venues (theatres) on their solo tours. Slash has complimented Bucket's playing on CD. They've both played with some of the greatest musicians out there. But I guess since Bucket didn't turn himself into a brand like the Guitar Hero, his gimmick is stupid while Slash's gimmick is rawk n fukken roll duuuude.
  20. You keep repeating that like it has some kind of relevance. What does staying anonymous have to do with his talent?
  21. That whole band, aside from maybe Brain and Richard, looked ridiculous. Especially Axl. They made some incredible music though, and that's the bottom line. Yea, if he doesn't get played on classic rock radio, he must suck. How foolish of me for thinking his playing is more important than his popularity. Technically yes, he can play pretty much anything. But his tone and feel are fantastic - KOHD is a simple solo but he made his guitar sing it beautifully. As far as classic GNR, nobody fits the AFD songs as well as Slash obviously. But overall, Bucket was the best musician Axl has worked with and it's not even close. His solos on If The World and Sorry fit the classic GNR style but Slash would never come up with solos like TWAT or Madagascar. Even Slash himself admits that Bucket is an amazing player.
  22. Was this the only show where Axl played As It Began? I think there might have been one more, but I can't remember which show it was.
  23. He's had heart issues and had valuable guitars stolen. Most people deserve better luck than that, no?
