  1. I'm calling it now - the only thing they'll release next year will be another rehashed Greatest Hits set (maybe they'll call it a 'Best Of' this time) including the 4 NITL singles, and maybe Estranged, Brownstone and/or Coma (maybe the one from Live Era).
  2. @janrichmond's new favourite pic just dropped
  3. I could see them releasing another 1-2 selects plus some random live songs while Slash and Duff are doing solo stuff next year, but I don't expect a live release. I think there was issues with both shows, basically they fucked over the company that recorded the Troubadour show and went with the cheapest option for Dodger stadium, so a lot of the shots are from drones flying above the stadium. I'd probably watch a 2016 blu ray once then add some songs to my live GNR playlist, then rarely listen to the full show again.
  4. The only one I ever bought was the blu ray & CD release of Appetite For Democracy, and I never even opened it I'm sure there's a niche market for concert blu rays, like there's a niche market for cassettes, but any live release I've wanted to watch has been available for free online so obviously I'll go with that option. That said, I'm definitely not the target audience for this type of release, I have a PS3 that plays blu rays, but I honestly can't remember the last time I even used my TV, nevermind watched a blu ray on it...
  5. They had at least 2 shows professionally recorded - the Troubadour and Dodgers Stadium. There may have been one other NA 2016 show that was professionally filmed that I'm forgetting. SCOM is all we've seen from the Troubadour recording: I think little bits of the Dodgers Stadium show ended up in the pinball machine, along with screen footage of 15-20 other shows.
  6. It would've been cool 5-6 years ago, but unless they release Houston 2016 I don't have much interest in a live release. I'd download it, watch it once, and maybe add a couple songs to my ipod.
  7. Maybe if we're really lucky, we'll hear a slowed and simplified DJ Ashba remix, like what he did to Better.
  8. Fill My World is just a bad version of SCOM. Haven't listened to 4 since it came out, but just played that track and yea, it's boring. Fall Back To Earth was the only song I liked on that album. I'm really looking forward to another album with guest singers though.
  9. Those were shared a year ago or whenever they shipped. The General will absolutely be ripped and shared, too.
  10. Yes, it's an instrumental that only features Brain and Chris Pitman, and will never ever be available digitally. Glad we've finally got that settled.
  11. Yes, but he does play CD every night and other nuGNR songs regularly... I'm sure it's gonna have Slash and Duff, and be mixed like Perhaps and Absurd, but a CD era 'demo' of The General as a bonus track would be fucking incredible. It would almost be perfect closure for the CD era.
  12. Got tickets for my first show of 2024 - City And Colour with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. City And Colour opened for RHCP when I saw them earlier this year, they were fine but I don't know if I'll stick around for their set. Stoked that Nathaniel Rateliff is playing in my city though, this will be the 3rd time I've seen him live.
  13. @Jwalker19 posted this in the Hollywood show thread, it's in the first video on his twitter
  14. I still don't think it will be exclusive to the vinyl, but even if it's not released digitally right away, it's not uncommon for 'bonus tracks' to be on youtube, spotify, etc a month or two after they've been released. It will 100% be available online eventually, officially or otherwise.
  15. I saw them 5 times in 2016-17 but only heard 32 songs, including Wish You Were Here and Duff songs. It's So Easy x5 Mr Brownstone x5 Chinese Democracy x5 Welcome To The Jungle x5 Double Talkin' Jive x5 Estranged x5 Live And Let Die x5 Rocket Queen x5 You Could Be Mine x5 This I Love x5 Coma x5 Sweet Child O' Mine x5 November Rain x5 Better x5 Civil War x5 Wish You Were Here x5 Knockin' On Heaven's Door x5 Nightrain x5 Paradise City x5 The Seeker x4 Don't Cry x4 Patience x3 Attitude x3 My Michelle x3 Catcher In The Rye x2 New Rose x2 Wichita Lineman x2 I Feel Good x2 Black Hole Sun x2 Yesterdays x2 Used To Love Her x2 Out Ta Get Me x1
  16. I think that's the 'VIP pit' and the rest of the crowd is behind another barrier.
  17. *1 new song if we're being honest, and it was only debuted maybe 10 shows ago? Absurd and HS were released 2 years ago. That's really not new anymore.
  18. I've said it before, but Pretty Tied Up or the slow You're Crazy would be my ideal openers. Play ISE after WTTJ like they did in the CD era, or play it after Estranged, NR or KOHD to pick the pace of the show back up. There's about 5-6 songs they could rotate that would all be good openers - Easy, WTTJ, PTU, You're Crazy, SOYL, Nightrain...
  19. They haven't played it in North America yet this year, and a hiphop festival seems like a weird place to play it. I'd say Madagascar or TWAT are more likely.
  20. True, but I don't think they'd add much 'behind the scenes' footage to a live release anyway, unless they were planning to release a compilation instead of one full show. They're probably just documenting their travels because they can, and decide to post small clips on instagram occasionally. I don't think recording everything is an indication of a live release coming.
  21. Looking at the Hollywood setlist, there's 10 songs I haven't seen this lineup play (11 if we count Duff's solo spot), and most of them were added this year. If they play something similar in Vancouver, I'll be happy with that. Especially if they add The General by then.
