  1. Overall, it was a fun show. I haven't watched videos from every show but it seemed like Axl had kind of an off night even by current standards? Abruptly switching to the deep voice on some songs, skipping the middle scream on LALD, stuff like that. He sounded good on the more natural songs though, Don't Cry was really nice, and I was glad to finally hear Pretty Tied Up, Bad Obsession, DOTF, etc. Absurd was the best of the NITL singles, Axl and Slash both sounded good on it. Perhaps was definitely weaker than previous shows but I'm glad I got to hear it. And Axl didn't fuck up the timing on Hardschool, it was actually a (relatively) good performance of that song IMO. It was nice to meet @Amir at the show I'm going to sleep now but I've got videos uploading to youtube, including AIC playing Rooster with Duff. Here's my channel for those interested: https://www.youtube.com/@rt9393
  2. Got a few videos that I'll upload overnight - Bad Obsession, PTU, HS, Absurd, Perhaps, DOTF, Wichita. Highlights were PTU, Absurd, Bad Obsession and Don't Cry. Axl definitely gives it his all, but his voice failed him a few times (parts of Reckless, YCBM, etc)... still a fun show.
  3. If it's CD leftovers, just put them all out at once. The only people who care are fine with waiting, it's already been 20+ years so what's a few more? A new album where Axl has to write 8-12 songs worth of new lyrics? Not in his lifetime... At this point I think the best case scenario would be a couple short albums: 8~ CD leftovers, and another album with 8~ cover songs. At most, maybe they can scrap together an EP's worth of actual new songs after that (with Duff probably singing a couple songs). I'd like to be wrong, but Axl won't suddenly becoming productive at this stage...
  4. Should we just get it over with now? Slash's solo (which I haven't heard) is so much worse than Bucket's solo (which I haven't heard)! Talk about an uninspired pile of noodles. Slash sure does suck at covering Robin and Bucket! Really though, I have very low expectations as far as Slash's playing and the overall mix/production. I'll just be glad to finally hear the song.
  5. I'm in A7, before I bought them they were $375 Yea right at the front entrance. Bought a shirt and litho a while ago.
  6. Yea, the only time I've paid for a meet and greet was a small show, it was only $10-15 more than regular tickets and they included posters that the band signed (also got a few CD booklets signed). Anything more than that, and I'm not interested. They weren't little promo posters either, it's bigger than my GNR lithographs.
  7. Måneskin last night was a fun show. They did a Janis Joplin cover And played a new song that comes out in about a month
  8. They're now selling floor tickets for as low as $80, lower bowl for $60 and upper bowl for $40, and that's after taxes and ticketmasters fees. I got up front on the floor for less than half of the original price. If they'd set these ticket prices from the beginning, they might have actually sold well. For a show like Vancouver, a lot of people also have to factor in hotels and ferry costs ($100 each way for 2 people in a car). So yea, the original ticket prices are obviously way higher than the demand, and people are right to complain about them. Not everyone can wait until the day of the show to get cheap tickets, so they just miss out. Clearly the tickets can be sold for reasonable prices.
  9. I was probably gonna try to swing by around noon... hopefully it's not a clusterfuck like the Måneskin show yesterday where they delayed opening the merch stand by almost 3 hours, while people were in line and it started raining... I sent it to my brother, he's pretty stoked for this design lol.
  10. Anyone know what time the merch booth outside the venue opens?
  11. Deadpool? At least my brother will be happy with this one. I'm just glad it's not a Luiz Berger design.
  12. Still lots of cheap floor seats available, as low as $80 after fees/taxes (sections B1, B8, B9 for anyone interested). I won't be surprised if they close off the upper level at this show, or literally give away hundreds of tickets right before the show.
  13. Like HS and Absurd, they'll find a way to double-dip on these songs without releasing an album. I'm guessing if they don't release another 'EP', they'll at least release a 2CD Greatest Hits / Best Of including the NITL singles, SOYL and some fan favourites like Estranged in the next year or two (since they seem to be taking most of next year off).
  14. Only time I've been on the floor was GNR 2017, I was front row and the sound wasn't very good. Hoping it's better this time.
  15. I upgraded through ticketmaster, use the refunds and exchanges tab in customer support
  16. This show has sold so poorly that I just upgraded my tickets from the back of the bowl, to the first row on the floor behind the pit. Ticket prices have dropped dramatically.
  17. Seems like this show sold pretty well. I wasn't able to get a cheap pit ticket but I'm working tomorrow anyway, so I'm not too bothered about it. Vancouver on the other hand still has tons of tickets and prices are dropping - $100 plus fees for floor tickets in rows 11-30, and $60 plus fees for the rows after that. Even if pit tickets don't drop I'll probably upgrade to a closer seat. Hope Seattle is a good show though. Both times I've seen them back-to-back in Vancouver and Washington, the shows in Washington were definitely better. Ayron Jones is a great opener, too.
  18. I still hope we get a higher quality version of the demo eventually. Not only is Robin's solo better, I like the 'riff' in the verses being played by Tommy better than Slash. Someone posted these on discord recently, this is the part I'm talking about: https://streamable.com/z24a47 Now that we've had the official version for a while, I think basically everything is better on the demo version except for the drums.
  19. I'm wondering this too... I was able to get a litho before the 2017 show, hoping to do the same this time. As far as what they sell outside the venue, I think it's the same stuff they sell inside. But the gnrmerchtruck.com items might be made to order, and are lower quality. From what I've read, the ones they sell online have the city-specific artwork on the front of the shirts, while the shirts they sell at the show have the artwork on the back.
  20. All the years of speculation that it was about child abuse, but it's actually about a lucky man who made the grade...
  21. I can't believe The General = State Of Grace theory is actually sticking. The cell phone recording sounds terrible, but there's still a few things that can be heard - the orchestral melodies from the 2006-10 concert intros, confirmed to be The General, and screaming vocals that don't sound anything like what we heard on SOG. Not only was The General written at least 1-2 years after SOG, but it was an instrumental when Beltrami worked on it, and what we've heard from the concert intros doesn't fit with SOG. I realize this band is so fucking bad at releasing music that the concept of releasing something unheard seems impossible to some people, but yes, they're different songs.
