  1. won't know until you hear the full version of cd ll from 2008 technically speaking
  2. I thought it was promosing
  3. it's a confiramtion that Slash is optimistic about Axl doing a final album eventually and is always open to do his parts is my guess. it's a nice reminder that no one is saying no kind of a thing. soon is not the word.
  4. and if you're a hardcore Slash fan it's always nice to hear the Slash flavor on anything really
  5. yeah in the movie it's an alien that loves chicken and Bruce Willis
  6. the Perhaps music video is really well made and editing is also great. really makes a more emotional connection with the tune. I feel like they went for it with the ballad and it reminds me of the PC music video so it's a cool thing Gn'R did imo also representing the curent lineup in a proper way.
  7. Slash seems to really like and respect Gary Clark Jr as a player. maybe there will be more collaborations in the future, I can see that happening.
  8. why would Frank lie about it though? Slash seems to be having a blast with the conspirators on this tour and the poster you're replying to is credible with some connections to the band.
  9. not just to the producer, band members are invited if I'm not mistaken
  10. is there actually posturing when it comes to Axl? idk. he seems to wear what he thinks is cool and appropriate for the occasion if it's on the stage, the look changes sometimes and off the stage he has a more casual look. it doesn't seem contrived to me, but what do I know.
  11. the close to climaxing sex noises are a turn off for you iirc heh. I like the song too, the vocals I don't have an issue with, even if they're not exactly what you'd call traditionally good, especially from Duff, but I wouldn't change it personally. my favorite part of the song is Slash's leads with that tone
  12. I thought it was a great pop track, the whole album really. the cover album was weak imho though.
  13. noticed how Slsh basically did the same thing Santana did: made 1 album with guest singers of original material in 1999 (Supernatural) and another album with guest singers that was all covers (2010's Guitar Heaven) (one difference is there's an original instrumental on Slash's Orgie Of The Damned) Edit: santana's second guest singers album was rock covers while slash's is blues covers.
  14. examples: and Slash's own Godfather theme cover
  15. why can't you say that, though about a cover? you put something of yourself as a musician in a cover as well.
  16. how about nothing we can do? that is the reality of the situation imo. don't worry about my real life, we are discussing a rock n' roll band. it is healthy to make the distinction. you can vote with your wallet, but that won't affect much in regards to new music and most ticket buying fans are casuals that want to hear the hits and go for nostalgia anyway.
  17. idk it seems you still expect him to deliver like people who are not Axl release music. his last album was released 15 years ago, more than enough timet to adjust to the "new" reality that Gn'R is never going to operate like other bands. everything we get from here on out is a bonus imho. no matter what Axl still got unreleased or the potential of the current line up and will likely take years for anything more than a few tunes released to happen. you can whine about it and repeat yourself as much as you want, it still won't change a thing or you can be pleasently surprised if/when Gn'R releases more material. just my take on it.
