  1. Last year too, you even GNFNR'd this post: You're getting old, McCoy
  2. Me. But I've barely listened to Monsters. Whenever I hear The General or even just think of the song, it's stuck in my head.
  3. I still love the Don't Cry video. I love the running on the roof, the three Axls in therapy, absolutely love it, always have and probably always will Loved the November Rain video, but that was already a bit over the top. Estranged was plain cringe to me. Maybe because by that time I was a year older and a bit embarrassed about my being a GNR fan by then. I have never liked the Estranged video and it seemed out of place and out of time. Tbh, I'm happy they even consider making videos nowadays. You can't compare now with then. We watched videos all day, I had tapes and tapes of MTV videoclips etc. Those days are over. And I can't imagine Axl, Slash and Duff acting in a videoclip nowadays Just imagine, Axl, Beta, Fernando, Vanessa and the kids sitting at the table having lunch, or splashing by the pool, while Slash and Duff drop by with their wives. Back then it was a thing to do, so even if it was over the top, it was alright imo (although like I said, Estranged has always made me feel uncomfortable). But now? I would think their only option would be something like a cartoon or whatever, or have a video with live footage, behind the scenes or on stage.
  4. Nice that they're doing something. I don't like Creative Works, so that's too bad for me. But I do appreciate they come out with something.
  5. Some years ago I was sure Axl and Beta were actually married, with maybe her allowing Axl to have flings or whatever with other women. Which could explain for the 18 year old girl whose ass he was grabbing some ten years ago (I think?). But I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me at least. And even if they're married, I've never heard of Beta pushing female fans away. On the contrary, I've heard of a few fans (male and female) who got to meet Axl thanks to Beta. (Just meeting him btw, no romantic/sexual meetings.) So whatever it is, I don't think she's the jealous or insecure type
  6. It's really odd to me, because you seem to be a person who's always nice and wouldn't antagonize anyone. Then again, I only know you on the forum, of course. It's a bit funny, because more people are assholes on the forum and sweethearts in real life. Maybe with @Eric Cantona it's the other way around
  7. 1. Putin 2. Zelenski 3. Netanyahu 4. Bruce Willis 5. Britney Spears 6. Ezra Miller 7. Shannen Doherty 8. Mike Tyson 9. Gerard Depardieu 10. Goldie Hawn
  8. Today Facebook is suggesting me this. I guess ZoSo has been watching Hallmark Christmas movies 🤣
  9. There used to be a gun dealer in the center of my city. Until an 18 year old bought a gun there, got out of the store and shot and killed a two year old girl and her nanny and wounded a woman sitting on a bench. No more gun shops since then.
  10. I'm sure it's great and worth the visit, it just seemed random to me that someone from Detroit (I think) would be interested in just that particular city. Thanks. Glad I'm not the only one I have been thinking lately that Germany is a country I have barely visited at all, even if it's closeby (some of it is anyway). I seem to always end up in the Netherlands or France if I'm going for a short holiday abroad.
  11. That seems random 😁 It's only a five hours drive from here and I don't think anyone I know's been there. Why Heidelberg?
  12. ❤️ Thanks for brightening my day again 😘
  13. I don't believe EvanG is 68. Oh well, I guess I'm the oldest who dares say their age. 47. I still feel better saying my birth year though. I'm at an age where I have to count before I know what age I am.
  14. No, as I understood it, she told Axl: Me and my family will be managing everything now. If you say no, we're leaving. Nothing gradual about it. I personally think anyone would be a better manager after all the experience they've had, even with no formal education. They seem to get everything wrong all the time.
  15. This is getting funny. How can people be so upset about a song that they think (or force themselves to think) that anyone who likes it is forcing themselves to like it? I can't speak for everyone, but I am a mother in my forties. I'm mature enough to know what I like and what I don't like. I don't care who likes or doesn't like it. In fact, everyone could've already predicted many people would be disappointed. Because of the hype, and because GNR generally seems to be disappointing people. But that's okay, it doesn't have any impact at all on my enjoying the song. Also, I don't like the tiedye sweatpants myself, but seriously, some people should try not to be so judgmental (it's almost Christmas after all!). Live and let live. You're not by definition a sad person if you bought the sweatpants or if you like The General. People who believe that, should grow up. Not liking The General or tiedye pants doesn't make you a superior human being. It's just a song, it's just a band. It's a pity if you don't like it, but please don't let it have such an impact that you actually get emotional about it.
  16. I tried to look that up in this very thread. Except the Sheila Kennedy story (we keep repeating ourselves every few years!), I found that a rock reporter tweeted that the book was canceled, and it disappeared from the publisher's website. It did resurface afterwards in the edited version, I would imagine some people sounded the alarm after reading it. Matt's book proves to me that most of what the band and their groupies were doing in those days, would be completely unacceptable now. I'm sure women, and especially Penthouse Pets, were treated like sexdolls back in the day. Not just by Axl or GNR, but by many bands. I mean, what are groupies? They offered themselves up to those young guys who had turned into rock stars overnight. I don't think all those guys would ask them what they liked or if they were okay with doing it this or that way. And I'm sure many of these girls 'were okay with it', because they dreamed of a life of partying and luxury, and were drugged/drunk for most of it anyway. Probably only (much) later on they realized that they were being used and abused and it wasn't all that much fun after all.
  17. Yeah, she gave birth in June, I think. I only saw it when I googled it. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/4799202/noor-alfallah-mick-jagger-al-pacino/
  18. She's from a really wealthy family apparently, but her first serious relationship was with Mick Jagger. She likes older men. I wonder if Axl is getting old enough
  19. Black haired prick could be Slash. And I didn't even know Fernando had a mustache The Brazilians = Team Brazil. That cannot be misunderstood, it's clear communication. Brazilian isn't a slur word, is it?
  20. 'The Brazilians' in this context seems to refer to Team Brazil. I don't see it as the whole population of Brazil.
