  1. I’d like to see Tommy back in there but he’s likely too cool for it. DJ would be cool, they could make a super DEMENTED^TM record together. He honestly would’ve fit the vibe for The General. I have a feeling that he’s probably not as bad as people say he is- it’s hard to sound great when everyone knows that every solo you’re playing is either from Slash or Robin Finck (who’s style is even harder to replicate). Anyways didn’t axl come on here like 15 years ago and say that a solo album would likely be movie score type music rather than rock?
  2. Didn’t he talk about Slash’s book at the 2016 China Exchange? Maybe I’m remembering incorrectly bc it’s been years but I thought he kinda alluded that he still thought it was B.S. Aside from talking about the band breakup, I’d love to read about the following: - 2002 tour - buckethead leaving - why the album took so long, why it wasn’t really promoted, etc… I feel like the 2000-2010 decade was one of the most interesting chapters of GNR from a business standpoint
  3. IMO, I don’t think it’s really crazy or far fetched for any fan to think a book might be in the fold.. Since 2016 (maybe even further back), his character has been scrutinized WAY less by the press/media. I’d even say there hasn’t really been ANYTHING negative about Axl as a person in the news in years (other than the SA lawsuit). On top of AXL/DC + 7 years of Stadium tours with Slash and Duff, I’d imagine this would be the perfect time to put out a book. Of course nobody knows and we shouldn’t get our hopes up- but I wouldn’t be surprised by any means if he ever put a book out

  5. Garden Of Eden. The song in general I think is one of the most underrated from the UYI albums. It’s rock n roll, as is the low budget music video. Also love all the sound effects, it was kind of a cool Axl foreshadow of the sound he wanted to incorporate
  6. I think if TWAT was cut down for a radio version similar to the length of the demo version, it would’ve done great
  7. I think a great GNR starter pack EP would go as: 1. Its So Easy 2. You Could Be Mine 3. Welcome To The Jungle 4. Patience 5. November Rain These are the new fan essentials IMO, sorry sweet child o mine 🤣 virtually everyone knows that one anyway
  8. Young Axl was cringe but obviously one of the greatest male singers ever. Most shows between 2006 to 2016 were pretty good and he wouldn’t rant or show up super late
  9. Was just thinking this. I thought I just didn’t like his voice, but then I listened to Alter Bridge and now love it. Never quite warmed up to the Conspirators
  10. I feel like he was trolling the current band/fans with that but if he was actually serious- that’s really funny
  11. Top 5: Madagascar, Catcher, IRS, Prostitute, TWAT Bottom 5: Street Of Dreams, TIL, ABSURD, Hard Skool, The General that said, I really like most the songs from this era. Even the bad ones aren’t boring generic rock tunes IMO
  12. I like it. Ironically, as “wtf” as the music video is, it actually fits the vibe. The music video was weakly planned, and doesn’t make sense. It fits the song perfectly in the same sense that a multi platinum record selling band would release a song with clipping! It doesn’t make sense! all jokes aside, I like the song. Not the kind of thing I’d ever put on with other people. Not bc it’s bad, but bc it’s too intimate/introspective for casually listening. It’s not Axl’s fault it’s been overhyped for years and bound to fail Out of the singles, perhaps and hardskool are the only two songs that could be put on in the background at a hang 😂
  13. I think so too, I like thinking those are the key components of that album. But It’s cool that there are songs like Shacklers and Sorry that are Buckethead demos that made the cut.
  14. Okay, interesting. Hard to tell, that demo is lacking more than the others in audio quality as far as the vocals go. Maybe it is buried in there. I’d personally love to think it’s new 😂 I also like the new version more. Took awhile though, I was really bummed out they took those lead guitar lines out of the verses.
  15. Is there any proof the lower octave on the perhaps chorus is from an older session? I wonder if that was new
  16. Exactly. I maybe shouldn’t call it “too layered”, but m it’s just a neutered mix. More guitar, less strings maybe would’ve fixed some of that. The live version has always sounded so good IMO, I love when the guitars come crashing in on the chorus right before the solo.
  17. Yep, layers. Doubled vocals on the end of the last verse (octave) and choruses (doubled). Just sounds super processed, almost too clean. I like all the orchestra parts but i guess what I’m getting at is, I would love to hear the song with literally just piano and one vocal track. I can appreciate the leaked remix version that’s raspier. I guess the vocal layers are necessary with the clean voice but can you imagine if that chorus had the same power it does live but on the record? It is far from the less layered of all gnr songs.
  18. I love that song and I consider it in the family of Axl’s masterpieces as far as writing goes BUT would’ve preferred a version with less layers. I’m surprised the most popular isn’t Street Of Dreams or Better
