I've got Red State I'm ready to watch it. it's been out for a year it seems.

Zookeeper was awesome. his heart beats in time with mainstream consciousness. started put very poorly but did improve to the point where I forgot animals were talking.

Saw the following movies/ documentaries in the past weeks: The Beaver, Rundskop (Bullhead), Watership Down, Roadie, The Cove, Restrepo

I've wanted to see the beaver. Is it any good?

It's fucking terrible. Doesn't even work as a Bad Movie We Love because it's so awkwardly and painfully terrible.

I think the remake tag sort of makes studios feel safer. they know they'll get the attention of an audience, then spend the money on marketing it. it's like why reinvent Coca Cola? just remarket it.

like the Weinsteins had chance to pick up Red State by Kevin Smith. but they are into remakes more. it's a chance that isn't worth taking.
