I'm off out now, will upload Don't Cry, Civil War, Maddy, Nightrain, NR, YCBM later on. Still pissed about somehow deleting Estranged :(

Hi Amir I was standing right in front of you to the right on the rail for the show, I had no idea you were filming it! I was the girl with all the signs. It was an amazing show and I have enjoyed reliving it through watching your videos!

And now I am home and I have to go back to my meaningless Axl-less life lol. No offense to those going tomorrow night, but I just say a 3 hour plus show and then got to spend just a few brief minutes with the man himself afterwards; so I am not sure if anything could ever top that. I may have reached the pinnacle lol. But I hope everyone who goes has a great time tomorrow night and shows GNR that Philly DOES have some love for them. And to those who went to AC, man, God bless us, cause we really saw the best it can get.

I'm looking forward to being part of Axl's triumphant return to the city of brotherly love. My plan is to bee-line straight for the stage door after the show ends and hopefully catch the guys on the way out if my transportation needs will allow. I've wanted to meet these guys for about as long as I've wanted to see them, so I'm gonna do whatever it takes.

Yeah, I wanna go to Philly, but I really don't see how it could top AC. I'm sure it'll be a great show, but the only way it would top it for me is if they played a different song or if I met Axl or something.

Had I not had a 3 hour drive home after AC, I would have stayed and hung out with fans at the Showboat, but I don't think I could have met the band, or Axl anyway, due to them carding at the door of the party. Regardless, it's awesome some of you got to actually meet some members of the band and the man himself, regardless of him not staying long.

Just still in awe of this show. Thanks a lot for the videos, Amir! Really hope someone recorded the full show in some form!

I agree, I feel like I hit the GNR jackpot after being at that show front/center, going to the afterparty, and getting my sign signed by Axl. I just don't think the show could have gotten any better at all. I could have never dreamed how good the night would have turned out. It all started with that huge ass smile I got after he read my first sign that read "Axl-Your Sexy N' I Know It!

Shackler's, in HD.

Now with (sickness-induced) Extra rasp.

Enjoy ;)

Ahhh! Loved it! Still can't believe he was as sick as he was and sounded like that! Seriously, head colds suck when your head is draining and you need to blow your nose and cough all the time. How the heck does he sick with it?

BTW, saw my hand through the first half of this video, I had the big ring on.

This was a huge factor in me deciding not to do Philly, but obviously because of The Ritz instead of AC.

Right after Axl says "Yeah", you can see him looking down at me :D

And Lol, someone yelled "Crazy Train!"

Did you upload that one to your computer first, Amir? The quality seems to be a bit better than the others.

Yeah, uploaded it to my Mac. Unfortunately there seems to be something wrong with it as the hard drive keeps filling up (and no, it's not because I've forgot to empty the trash, there's something eat a lot of hard drive space and I have no idea what it is. I barely have any music (I mostly use Spotify) or films on here, and before you ask, I stream any porn I watch :P ). I'm uploading Don't Cry now straight from my iPhone, sorry about not uploading rest to my computer.

No problem. Will you be uploading the others to your computer and the re-uploading, at all?

If I have time and figure out how to clear up hard drive space, sure, I want everyone to see them. I managed to get CD on my hard drive so I can re-upload that soon. For some reason iPhoto straight up won't let me import any more videos. I'm gonna be travelling until 1st March (28th Toronto-London, 1st March London-St Andrews) and saying goodbyes to friends and family, so I'm not gonna have much free time until then. For now I'll just upload them from my iPhone so you guys have something to watch.

My AC Report

I arrived in two via train from Philly around 3:30 PM, and took a cab to my hotel at the Hilton. The GF and I immediately realized we were going to need to eat before anything else, because we knew it would be a long night (thought how long, I don't think we had any idea, lol.) A quick order to Papa John's later, and we were all good. I had brought a bottle of Three Olives Root Beer Vodka for us, so we enjoyed a good amount of that while watching videos from the Chicago HOB, and then we were in a cab and on our way to the Irish Pub for some more pregaming.

We only had a couple beers there, as she wanted to get to the show. I did engage in a convo with two fans about why "Think About You" isn't in the setlist, and how much that sucks. I did overhear alot of convo about the show, and Axl in general, and it was mostly positive. However, disappointingly, there was no GNR in the jukebox. But, it was a very cool place as usual, and I highly recommend it. And then we took the short walk over to the Showboat.

We arrived there and grabbed a couple of beers at the first bar we saw (16 oz Miller Lite Aluminums for $4 I believe. The only decent deal we would find all night.) We went upstairs and started to mill around, walked back down around the casino, and then came back up when it was closer to showtime for the opener.

Security on the way in was actually quite friendly and funny, if I remember correctly. I was obviously having a lot of drunken fun already, and the guys were pretty nice when they could have been ball busters. They also let me dump my freshly opened beer into a cup to bring in, rather than dump it altogether, which was nice.

I was taken aback immediately at how close the stage was, even to the entrance. My delight to that quickly turned to angry shock when I purchased my first round of beers and two shots of tequla, which came to a healthy $34, haha.

We made our way up, maybe three row from the stage, and watched some of the opener. I can honestly say, not being a dick, that they made basically no impression. I mean they weren't terrible or anything, definitely a serviceable rock band and opener, but, I just can't remember a single thing that really stood out about them.

Then the dummy GF suggested I go get another round. I expressed my concern that I wouldn't be able to find her (she had no cell phone btw), and she assured me I would....it took me QUITE A WHILE to get this next round, as the place was filling up, and everyone seemed to be in full on drink mode. By the time I was finally able to head back to where she was, most of the pit was full, and nobody seemed to want to let me through, lol. I tried my best to get to her from several different angles, then just gave up and figured I would meet her by the bathroom. Luckily she had the same idea because on my way there she tapped me from behind. We agreed not to leave the other's sight again, and made our way back into the crowd, surprisingly, still getting a very good spot in front of the stage.

A nice amount of time went by before they took the stage at almost exactly midnight, but once they did, phew...the energy and the noise levels in the place went off the charts. It seemed like everyone knew the lyrics to EVERYTHING, even the new stuff. ChiDem rocked as an opener as usual, followed by the usual suspects. I was extremely happy to hear "You're Crazy" as I had told my GF that that was the one song I really wanted to hear, having never heard it live before.

Axl sounded amazing and looked like he was having a blast, and the rest of the guys were no slouches either. Bumble, Richard, and DJ are all balls of energy, engaging the crowd constantly throughout the shows in their own way. The show continued on, kicking out all the favorite jams. "Street Of Dreams" was the best I have ever seen or heard it live, and, again, I was amazed at the amount of people singing along and loving it. "Civil War" was also amazingly good, the crowd was super loud, and it was my first time seeing it live on this tour, so I was a happy guy.

Before I knew it, it was "Nightrain" time, and I had a very sleepy/inebriated gf...."Is it almost over?" she asked, lol. Oh don't get me wrong, she was having a blast, but 3 + hours, playing so late, and all the boozy boozy can knock the stamina out of anyone. I told her almost, there would prob be a 3 song encore, etc.

Jokingly, as the guys came back out and I heard the opening notes, I shouted "Oh man, NOT MADAGASCAR!"....and I almost immediately heard someone repeat the same sentence behind me, lol. Hey don't get me wrong, I love the song, and have for ten plus years, but when it's close to 3 AM...it can be a bummer. However, the performance was the shit, and the background video was cool as always.

Then "Whole Lotta Rosie" hit, which I totally wasn't expecting, and the crowd went fuckin BONKERS! Everyone was rocking out and dancing...I got enjoyment out of seeing Beta doing the same from the side of the stage, lol.

"Better" followed, and as seen on the clips here, was probably among the best it has ever been performed. It was my personal highlight, as it is one of my favorite songs, not just from Guns, but EVER. So suffice it to say I was singing along loudly, and, again, much to my surprise and delight, the guy right next to me was doing the same.

Now, I could be wrong on my timing on this one, but I believe between "Patience" and "Paradise" Tommy tried to hand Richard a guitar as Richard walked to the other side of the stage to switch instruments I guess, and when Tommy couldn't get his attention, he seemed rather peeved. He started acting a little strangely, as far as I could tell, maybe a little too much to drink...but who was I to talk, lol. But he kept holding up the guitar or bass, whichever it was, like he was going to swing it at Pitman. Maybe I am making too much of it, but....I was uncomfortable for a few seconds, lol.

So anyways, confetti, show ends....people are leaving, happy as shit. Somehow I manage to wander over to a bar that says "GNR Show Afterparty with ticket stubs." I walked in, but no one seemed to be checking stubs, but I think I got carded. It was just a really cool room in there, and at this point, I wasn't sure if any band members were going to show up. The GF seemed to snap out of her funk and enjoy the music the DJ was playing. There were groupie looking chicks everywhere.

After only a few minutes, I saw Frank wander in. He was chatting it up with a group of fans. I was kind of waiting my turn, but lost him when I saw Tommy walk past....looking pissed. I pointed it out to my GF and said "I knew it." Just a little while later he walked past and was gone for the night. Richard came in, as well as DJ. DJ was another one who was super accomodating to fans.

For some reason, around 4 AM, the girl who was bartending wouldn't let me use my card to pay for a round. Something about the system recycling, so....score for me, two free beers, lol.

Most of the band, and some people with passes went back into this roped off area that had a door that led to a smoking area....but there was another door that led out there, and no one was guarding the door on the way back into the roped area. So the GF and I went out to smoke, and then, very casually, went back into the other door, and wound up in a small room to the right. To the left was a darker room, with incense burning, where DJ appeared to be holding court. I wasn't back there to bother any of the guys, I was just kinda tickled to be there, so I just observed.

Then, when I turned back into the room we were in, a couple of people parted, and there Axl was on the couch. My jaw may have actually hit the floor...I told my GF "Do me a favor and pick up my jaw." I didn't want to geek it up too much, but it was literally that surprising to be near the guy. I just kind of leaned against the wall and listened to him talk with people, GF asleep on my arm, lol....when all of the sudden it got quiet in the room. The music had stopped for some reason, much to Axl's chagrin. "What happened to the music?", he said...followed quickly by a "Man, this is lame." Next thing I knew, he was up in a flash, and out of the room...having brushed right by me, which was very exciting, lol. But unfortunately, he wasn't to return. I would have so waited my turn, and taken the couch across from him. It would have been tremendous just to engage him in conversation, or just to listen, but unfortunately it was not to be. My one chance to talk to the guy, BLOWN, haha. But that's life, and I have the experience and the story of being one of maybe like 10-12 people in a room with him after a show, which is awesome.

It's like I said in another thread, I am not sure if anything could top this. In fact the show was so good, and seeing Axl after was so amazing and shocking, that there is almost no way Philly could measure up. I was already pretty sure I wasn't going to go because of financial reasons, and the heights everything hit on that night just sealed it.

So, if anyone from the band is lurking by any chance...you guys absolutely crushed it that night, and gave me one of the best and most fun nights of my life. Good luck and God bless to all of you, and to the people around the world who still get to enjoy this tour for the rest of the year. I hope to see them again down the line.

Something funny about this video, around the 9:00 mark when Axl does his final outro, a girl climbs on stage and gives Bumble a hug (she said something to him but I don't know what). You can see her behind Axl at 9:22 and she's ushered off of the stage as Axl is stepping down. But, Axl looks the other way when he steps off and doesn't even notice her until around 9:30. You can see him watch her and look around with a blank look on his face as she's getting off of the stage, and he didn't even know she had climbed right passed him and gotten on stage
