highvoltage
77/5 mb/s measured.. should be 100/5 though. That might be what you pay for, but your actual speed is generally going to be lower.Mine is a typically shitty AU connection:Apparently this is better than 75% of the population. highvoltage
That's a $79.95 a month ADSL2 (20000/2000) plan. It also gets capped after I download 150GB.Shit sucks here.

highvoltage
That's a $79.95 a month ADSL2 (20000/2000) plan. It also gets capped after I download 150GB.Shit sucks here.Seriously... I pay about $35 for that 100mb connection, unlimited use of course. I think my phone has the same speed for connection as your ADSL2 is.. and it's unlimited use. About $13 a month for that. Yep. The internet is a pretty hot topic over here actually, since the speeds are poor and costs are so high.Basically we just had an election where the sitting party lost. Pretty much their only popular policy was on broadband.... their plan was to connect fiber-optic cable to 93% of homes/businesses in the country; they commenced the rollout a couple of years ago. However, the party that just won the election has a different broadband policy. To do things slightly cheaper/quicker, fiber will be brought to streets, then the final connection to homes will use the existing shitty copper wire. So, now the whole rollout is under review and likely to be changed. It's really shitty, there's a massive push here to change their minds. This link explains things in a pretty clear/amusing way if you're interested... http://howfastisthenbn.com.au/Either way, I'm a long way off having a decent connection. SunnyDRE
Suppose to be 60/10 ($80 a month). Its fine though. With Time Warner, never had problem. Well, I take that back, when I switched over, I was supposed to receive a $100 VISA card. Didn't show and when I called about it, I had to jump through hoops to talk to someone in the Rewards department.Never got that damn card. AxlisOld
I have my wifi set up as g rather than n, if I weren't so lazy I'd probably be getting the 30 meg I pay for. 30 bucks a month though, not bad.

KBear
Cost is $25. In all honesty I really don't need faster. If I download something big I will do it overnight or whenever I leave the house. For surfing and streaming You Tube videos it's fine. That said, I will be moving to a new ISP this month, and moving from a 7 Mb/s plan to one that is either 10 Mb/s or 15 Mb/s. Redhead74
Mine is a typically shitty AU connection: Apparently this is better than 75% of the population. WTF? And I thought mine wasn't that great. I notice a big slow down during school holidays and weekends when every stupid, little Gen Y shithead is sitting at home doing absolutely nothing productive and watching YouTube videos, sucking all the speed out of the street. Redhead74
The wonders of living in the countryside It comes to something when even izzygirl has faster internet than you. But it also comes with beautiful views, fresh air AND a relatively stable economy and a 7.7% unemployment rate, instead of 27.7% Good deal IMO.
