D&D seem to not like that sort of thing, since they didn't do the Lady Stoneheart thing. But then again, they did do Robert Strong, so I don't know. Nosaj Thing Posted June 15, 2015 Share Posted June 15, 2015 There are three theories I read on the net for Jon not dying, one's really silly, the others would be fine, I guess: Jon will come back as one of the main white walkers Jon will be revived by blood magic by the death of a Targeryen Jon will be revived by blood magic by the death of a Baratheon I personally think he's dead for good I also read that R + L = J could be a way to bring him back, and I gotta say, that is an interesting theory.I don't know, at first I had this idea that it could be possible, but after reading Kit's latest interviews I have to accept that Jon is definitely dead. It would ruin the drama of his death if Kit, David, or Dan even subtly hinted that he may come back in some manner. So expect them to definitely state that he's done for good. I could see in the show that actually being the situation, but I feel like most book readers expect him to come back in some form in TWOW - even GRRM has raised suspicions with some of his answers he's given regarding Jon. bran Posted June 15, 2015 Author Share Posted June 15, 2015 in the books mel never leaves to go with stannis to begin with. so to me the writers had to find a way to get her back to the wall before the end the of episode for a reason, if she wasnt important to the events with jon and the wall they could have had her just disappear and never be shown again for the rest of the episode. i think they wanted people to formulate theories and have discussion about this to fuel even more speculation going into the next season, all over the internet tv show watchers are coming up with the same theories and discussions that us book readers have been having for almost 4 years now. The random mentions in the books about how things get preserved when stored at the wall, Mel's powers being greater at the wall.Although the show version of those events is a little bit iffy. I'm referring to the scene of Snow falling in the throne room which is open to interpretation a bit more.asoiaf is allowed some cliches and does anyone who's read the books really think that this ends with Danny as the savior of the world/queen? I think her dream about another battle at the trident is a massive red herring.I really think bringing up Jon's parentage over/over again or making references to it over almost a work of 5000 pages is an indication of it being relevant. I think it's safe to say alot have figured it out or I hope, but there's still 2 books to go and it still hasn't been said definitely yet. People's disillusion with some of the show's logic gaps and AFFC/ADWD being separate books seem to distract people from George actually being a pretty smart writer. Also, if you saw 300, you know how Lena's breasts look like. As for not being naked and using a body double, I don't think it's a salary-related issue 'cause I'm sure HBO can pay whatever Lena Headey is asking for, but maybe she doesn't want to get naked. Unless Tommen dies right before the trial, I'm not going to believe that Cerseri losses the trial. They gave Robert Strong/The Mountain a big build up, they're not going to have him lose in his first fight.Remember Bran's dream in the first book about the shadows?
