DieselDaisy
Pakistan series starting (Sky Sports 2). Pakis have won the toss and elected to bat on a good Lord's wicket. Pakistan have three left arm seamers, including Amir, and Ballance struggles against left arm seam! Amir returning to the scene of his crime. Jake Ball for Jimmy. Let it commence...... wasted
Shit I don't have Sky here. Is there coverage on any channel. The Test should be in BBC2. What's the use in a tv license?

DieselDaisy
Pakistan 282/6 Misbah-ul-Haq ton, who absolutely pulverised Moen Ali in one over, hitting him for four boundaries sweeping/reverse sweeping. His celebration, Pakistan will be disappointed to loose those two wickets in the last ten minutes which just balances the day off - otherwise, they could have claimed to have been the happier of the two. PS I'll watch this until lunch and then I'm off to the Northants T20, Stokes and Wood playing (apparently). Our home form has been weirdly good in the shortest format. They are a good team - 3rd in the rankings. They are playing three left arm seamers and a few of the England batsmen struggle against the left arm (cough, Gary Ballance). They also have probably the best wrist spinner in cricket with Shah. This should be a keenly contested series.
Len Cnut
Is Misbah related to Inzamam by any chance?

There are a distinct lack of names in Pakistan. There is actually an active right arm seamer, not selected, called Imran Khan. Not the Imran Khan. Waqar Younis: Younis Khan etc etc.

DieselDaisy
Well you're all related, aren't you? Corner shops owned by the nephews and cousins of another corner shop one mile away - that is atypical.
Len Cnut
We certainly are, drop me in any town in England with a paki community and I'll find someone I've something to do with
DieselDaisy
There is a documentary now on Radio 5 extra on the scandal and apparently Asif now lives in Norway, playing a bit of club cricket and living among the Pakistan community. wasted
He didn't seem too bothered. How much do cricketers get a season? Seems like 80s football div one style.
DieselDaisy
My chaps won. I enjoyed it but T20 - jesus, it is naff. Get the whites on you wankers. Lunch and tea. Glorious.

DieselDaisy
I'm watching Paki TV as Sky is down haha. Adverts adverts adverts - all with impossibly good-looking people for, drum roll, little cake snacks. PS Root gone. One has to say Pakistan are favourites in what has been a thrilling test match. DieselDaisy
Pakistani thoroughly deserved the win. Sublime bowling from the left armers and Shah. Good test match. England have a test series on here. Edited July 17, 2016 by DieselDaisy

DieselDaisy
Hales out to a magnificent out-swinger which nipped back in and knocked over his stumps, Amir. Recall Trescothick I say as no one else seems to be able to bat against these Pakistani left armers.
