bacardimayne Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 If you've ever posted from a mobile device (no gramps, your Nokia 2600 doesn't count) then you know how stupidly common that multiplied post error is.Mods - please delete all off-topic discussion (this includes discussion of the rap genre, which this album so far has not been evidenced to include) from this thread 1 Quote
LightningBolt Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) Not terrible but I'm not a huge fan. Some of the production decisions are pretty annoying.I think I'd like the song a lot more if I wasn't getting so much distortion on it for whatever reason.Listening at half volume on YouTube and it sounds a lot better. bacardimayne Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 Imo the song would be literally perfect with about 50% of the autotune gone. Quote
LightningBolt Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Yeah not a huge fan of the autotune, but it's a pretty good song overall. Quote
bacardimayne Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 It's just obnoxious at times. Not like his normal autotune use at all. Only complaint about the song though. Quote
DR DOOM Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Makes This I Love sound like a masterpiece.Pathetic. Quote
Gackt Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Genius. The follow-up to Yeezus is already sounding like an album of the year contender. 1 Quote
Strange Broue Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Kanye is one of music's biggest living legends? Gackt Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 The only people who seem upset at the song are dadrockers/buttrockers who generally hate hip hop artistsFrom the sound of things, the two made a whole album together; could be a follow-up to Watch the Throne, which was a Jay-Z/Kanye West collab 1 Quote
luciusfunk Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 It wasn't the greatest song ever, not even the greatest Kanye song, but it wasn't shit. I've heard worse songs from even Kanye. And there wasn't an ounce of rap in it, for all you "oh it's ©rap" people. 1 Quote
Jakey Styley Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 It's not the best Kanye song and maybe doesn't meet the standard of excellence one would expect from a collaboration between these two names, but it's still such a powerful and beautiful song. The motive here wasn't to make a hit or a banger or something you can listen to all day. 1 Quote
Mansin Humanity Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 The reactions from those who I knew wouldn't immediately dismiss it encourage me. Just got home so I'll give this a listen in a few. Quote
MB. Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I like the song. It's kind of sweet. I agree about the autotune but overall a pretty good song. I like the combination of these two, looking forward to hearing more. Quote

bacardimayne Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 Paul's organ track is just so perfectly bubbly and uplifting. Quote
Jakey Styley Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 For some reason I don't see this being on the next album, more like a one off + a treat to the fans. A song with Paul McCartney on the first day of 2015 is a statement.I can't wait for Yeezy Season. Hopefully it kicks off sooner than later. Quote

Mansin Humanity Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Yeezus is my favorite Kanye album. That said, hearing the more heartfelt side of him again is great. Probably wouldn't want a full album of just this sound, but you know we won't get that. Moral of the story, I'm digging the song. Quote
