8 seconds off a personal best today. Lost 19 seconds in the first 2 miles, pulled back 14 seconds over the next 4 miles, then lost 3 seconds over the rest of the course.

Need to produce more power. Hopefully some work on my core and hip flexors will aid that.

What have you been doing?

Mainly seriously cleaning up my diet and making sure I drink enough water, that seems to be what has made the change. Because of my work schedule and the fact I'm not dancing, I have to be more intentional about making sure I eat the right things, regardless of how much exercise I can fit in.

For workouts, I've been going to body combat and insanity classes a couple of times a week. I finally got my membership sorted out for the gym so I'm going to figure out a routine that works for me. The classes are helping with muscle tone, I need to get in more cardio just now to lean out a bit, and do more focused weight training to hit the areas I want to that the classes don't cover.
