HuskerTornado
People that hated it didn't understand it. What did you expect going in? I didn't know what to expect. It had been some 17 years since we got original music from Axl. You see, there's a group of you on the forum who have a hard time with simple concepts like differing opinions and differing values, so when someone disagrees with you, you have to scramble around creating nefarious reasons for their disagreement so that the world makes sense to you. It ain't all that, buddy. Some of us just think the album isn't good and that's all there is to it. I know, absolute shocker!I have no problems with differing opinions, it's just the ones that don't like it continue to be the most vocal, whining about how they don't like it and how bad it is, no one follows that with "in my opinion", instead stating it as fact. Comments in here before my post pertained to "nobody cares about CD" and your "Only GnR nerds and nostalgia rock media". You hadn't heard anything for 17 years? Guns played Madagascar on MTV in 2002 in front of millions. Oh My God was in the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie End of Days in 1999. Almost every song on the album leaked years before release with several demo versions and live performances. Howard Stern played IRS for his huge audience. It wasn't hard to come by. Mike Piazza and Eddie Trunk played it on his radio show as well. Edited March 15, 2015 by HuskerTornado
magisme
I heard all the demos and the live performances. Jesus Christ, do we really have to clarify this? I thought they sucked and hoped Axl knew they sucked too. For the most part he made them worse. OMG is OK. First official original release other than a single in 17 years or so. Better?I'll expect that all praise for the album will be followed with an "imo" since you seem to require such from its detractors.
DieselDaisy
You forget, some consider CD to be the modern equivalent of a Beethoven symphony and 1970s Floyd record rolled into one. The people who love this record, literally love it beyond reason.
dalsh327
I'm surprised they didn't have anyone from the current lineup in the promo and I'm wondering because Axl does have a contract with a casino, wouldn't this be a conflict with the Hard Rock? So now that he's fine with the past, he should call Marc up and help him sell some of the books, make an appearance or put the books up on the official site, as well as Robert John's book. I'd actually like to see Axl do an interview show and the first guy he interviews is Mick Wall.

As for OMG. it`s one of the best songs in the band`s catalogue, with a better production and Bucket`s solo it would be a bitching track. tomfriend
Notice nothing from ChiDem was "represented", never mind blood boiling, it's not even simmering. When it comes to this era of GNR, Slash, Axl and Duff would be involved in approving it. A few years ago this would have been unthinkable. Steven and Izzy will have had to approve it too. If your likeness is used, you have to sign off on it. That's the way this works. And I don't know why anyone would care less or think it selling out for Guns to have a slot machine. Aerosmith had one in the 90s. Hell, Elvira has one. And if it's good enough for the Mistress of the Dark, it sure as hell good enough for this ragtag bunch of diseased motherfuckers.

DieselDaisy
When was this signed? Could this just be the closest Axl's bacteria has come in contact with, Slash's bacteria since the break-up?

Strange Broue
This company would not do this without consent. They are one of the biggest online casino providers in the world. I work in online gaming the industry and am sure the 'Guns N' Roses' brand is compensated. are you working on Pokerstars or a poker site? how's the rng's going? Free Bird
My takeaway from those pics is that Slash absolutely did not play an Epiphone in that scene. That's the first point. The second point is, he gave that guitar back to Joe Perry, didn't he?

Bono
Nice to see the band finally moving forward and creating an identity all their own. I thought Axl was all talk when he said he wanted to bury Appetite but cleary he is a man of his word.
guitarpatch
My takeaway from those pics is that Slash absolutely did not play an Epiphone in that scene. It's Joe Perry's 1959 Les Paul. Same guitar Slash recently gave back. The story is that Joe was trying to track down all of the guitars he sold back in the late 70's/ early 80's, and Brad Whitford was watching the video for November Rain and recognized the guitar. majormayhem
If I'm understanding correctly, people will be able to hear overplayed gnr songs while playing slots? Big whoop. What a scam this band has turned out to be. Axl Rose has no integrity. He has no artistic "vision". He's full of shit. I'm only admitting this to myself, as most people figured this out 25 years ago. DieselDaisy
You can play GN'R slot machines while you see GN'R in Vegas playing hits sets. You can buy Axl Rose trading cards. You can even book the band to play your wedding. All about the integrity.
Rodzilla72
Only now seen the clip. I'm not shouting reunion, but it is strange they only show the classic lineup and the 'classic' albums (AFD, Lies, UYI 1&2 and TSI?)It's not strange: the vast majority of people (in other words pretty much EVERYONE ON THE PLANET who doesn't hang around this or one of the other GNR forums and/or live in Brazil) would only recognize "Guns 'n Roses" as "Axl, Slash, the other guy w/ the hat- though a smaller hat and usually wears a vest, and the 2 blonde dudes."Same goes for the songs.Putting this together with the platinum CD gifts and DJ's 'I look forward to record with Axl, only time will tell', I think GNR as we knew it these last years is finished. This is absolutely correct.
