ericy210
How many more months/years of silence will go by until you conclude he's decided to quietly retire and enjoy life, feeling he owes the world no explanation?
gnfnrs1972
I'll believe he is retired when his house keeper tells us.

Słash
He retires for every few years, then he does some live shows to earn money and keeps on repeating the same thing
wasted
I guess if when the solo projects end and they don't come back to tour, it's an extended hiatus, then a prolonged sabbatical, the permanent vacation.. liers
Until someone says he has. Its normal for Axl to disappear for years with no announcement. He was gone for 7 years in the 90s. Im sure in 1998 a lot of people assumed he'd retired.I dont see axl retiring. He seems like the type who will keep preforming until his death. username
When he dies. Anything before that should be considered wishful thinking. Ironically, I still think his music output might skyrocket around the same time. Edited March 31, 2015 by username
SoulMonster
How many more months/years of silence will go by until you conclude he's decided to quietly retire and enjoy life, feeling he owes the world no explanation?I don't believe in retirements in artists, just hiatuses.

Padme
He has to fix the problems with his voice. If he doesn´t then he is done as a singer. He can still write songs for or with other people like Baz or whoever
Bono
Axl is like the guy who retires but every few years goes back to work just long enough to pay some bills then retires again when he realizes his employer(fans) really aren't interested in having him around anymore. Until he learns a new skill this cycle will repeat evefy few years. Man's gotta pay bills ya know.
DieselDaisy
He usually changes his image following every stoppage. So in 2002 you had the oversized hockey shirts and dreadlocks. In 2006 he had corn rows and a sort of, designer leather/denims thing, going on. In 2010 he turned up as David Crosby, cherubic with a moustache. Expect a new image then for his return.
