Hate to be 'that guy' (for the record I am absolutely stoked for everyone in the band and fans everywhere, this tour has blown my expectations completely out of the water), however I can't help but keep thinking how fucking cool it would have been to see every seat sold at all these gigantic stadiums because it's what the band deserve and it initially seemed like a genuine possibility, almost an inevitability.

It's just that it seemed to be soo within reach. Like, if they had lowered the ticket prices surely the extra attendance of those able to afford tickets would have evened out the gross with the expensive ticket prices, if that makes sense?

Didn't mean to be a downer, I'm having so much fun following this tour via the internet, I just know we'd be seeing sellouts across the board if the promoters or ticketmaster or whoever weren't so damn greedy.

Rant over! :)

not without izzy.  now im a bigger downer than you.  your welcome:smiley-confused2:

Oh sure, they could have actually sold out stadiums with lower ticket prices without Izzy.  There are a lot of people around here who have told me they'd go if the tickets weren't so pricey (and we have to travel at least two hours to get to a show).

Stop with this fiction that Izzy being involved would boost ticket sales by tens of thousands.  It's insane and not based in reality.  People here care about him being involved because this forum has the absolute diehards.  This forum does not reflect the general public.

Just got home and saw I missed Alice in Chains periscopes. I was hoping to catch it.

Twitter world seems to be pretty happy as far as I can tell. The only complaint so far is that someone in Alice in Chains was wearing a Raiders jersey. Other than that, everyone seems to be happy. If they did close the upper levels then they've been doing an excellent job so far of shifting people around. Or the people at Arrowhead are still in the parking lot drinking and having made it in yet.

Needed?  How?  Wanted?  Sure..but you and other fans (and rightly so).  But, needed?  No, I seem to actually recall GnR releasing a whole album without any of the AFD5 besides Axl.  So, he isn't "needed" to make album.

Sure the general public pretty much cares about just axl and slash. It is a fact. I can only speak for myself and say that if izzy and Adler were there I probably would have gotten tickets and not cared about price. But that's just me, and it's not a Diss on Frank and Richard it's just he fact that it's such an incredibly impossible and forbidden task to get the appetite lineup on stage, let alone for one song.

Now that's off my chest.. Lower ticket prices and I would have went regardless. But at the prices now? Not unless it's the originals..

I wonder if Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are backstage trying to get votes from the band & crew!!!

What would Axl be doing right now, having a drink to calm down or having a laugh with Slash. Or having a punchup with Slash........nah that cannot happen now.

I saw a few for Alice in Chains (via twitter), but they were all already ended. They didn't seem to be very good either as it appeared each person had multiple attempts at getting it going.
