steelersguy
Hey guys, for those of you that got to see a us stadium show last summer, how big is the pit? I got two tix today for the pit in Minneapolis and was curious how big it is. It looks like it's about 5 rows deep. Is that a fair number thanks, chad
Gordon Comstock
It holds about 1000 people but there's room for way more. I was front row in front of the runway in Seattle and there was 3 rows of people, and probably about 15 rows on either side of the runway. If you have a pit ticket, you won't have a bad view.
mrw80
Agreed that there's tons of room. We went in shortly after the gates opened (didnt line up early) and still ended up on the rail on slashs side at the end of the stage. It was absolutely amazing. Definitely more than 5 rows. I think 15 is a good estimate.

Carburetta
Let's not confuse US pit tickets with Euro Golden circle areas, they are not the same concept. Golden circle areas are far larger. I was in the pit in New Jersey and it felt like a gap between the stage and audience like a camera run, totally different to these Golden circle areas. Other areas have different sized pits for a variety of reasons. Edited December 6, 2016 by tsinindy
delfino88
You are right, but Munich for example has 2 front of stage pits and Imola has only one pit (golden circle).
Ace Nova
I was in the Pit for the Vegas show and it was huge. Plenty of room. I was on the floor for the Orlando show but from my vantage point, people were moving around freely in the Pit there...looked like there was plenty of room there as well. James Bond
I recall reading that the capacity was 500 per side (1000 total as mentioned) but I'm 99% sure they oversold it at most shows.

RussTCB
I was only in the pit once during the NA tour, at the second Chicago show. I was surprised by how small it seemed when I got there. Still a very cool experience though.
Captain SK
Great information on the pits that I found in this thread from earlier this year:

Pits look real small from the picture. I guess it's a weird picture though as its a panoramic shot. Original
Great thank you all. I scored P1 for Mpls. Liking the looks. I'm not wanting/not gonna go for rail as I'd rather stand back and take it in.
