I wonder why it has gone mysteriously curly when it used to be really straight?

I don't know anything about hair, mine is curly and messy but with a good conditioner I keep it in order...

I guess could be the horrid corncrows? has somebody ask him why the cornrows? WHY?

But one thing is certain: I was looking Axl's pictures from 2012, 2013...he was even walking with a cane...looks really old and ugly ... now he looks healthy and gorgeous...look what a renewed self confidence can bring

Yeah, there's no denying that the Axl/DC gig, getting back with Slash and Duff and going on a reunion tour has done Axl a world of good.  He's looking the best he has for literally a decade or more.  I'm guessing he has a sense of purpose now and a boost in confidence since he's been getting all the feels from the crowds and fans again.  And hopefully getting some feels from Slash too, yes?  Maybe even ALL the feels?

This is why I say new music is a distinct possibility.  He seems happier.  Duff is definitely having a great time.  The only one I'm still not sure about is Slash.  I still can't figure him out and there still seems something slightly amiss with that guy.  @janrichmond posted in a thread that she thought he was not himself on this tour, so I'm not the only one.

I think his hair just looks really thin, maybe it's an age thing. But someone get him a hair masque please!

I think he looks a lot healthier these days though, he's looking better as the tour goes on. And more smiley on stage which is great!

lol and the cornrows is my number one hated Axl look! Whhhyy did they let him do that

I don`t think anything can restore his hair to its former soft, shiny glory from 20 years ago and he is a man, hair ages different in them. Still it`s pretty good, I just think it has more of worse moments, so he covers it with all that hats and caps (bad hair day hairdo). He maintains his appearance very good, so why he would skip hair?

Other thing is, that Axl could hire some of most skilled guitarists...  but the problem is when the musicians are not compatible. He had technically much better (and more) guitarist, but no one was as soulful as Slash. Axl ans Slash need each other to get their best, they complete each other and I think Axl must really enjoy Slash`s ability to immerse into music. Slash can`t front a band (I still think that if there was a nuclear apocalypse in audience, he wouldn`t start noticing anything before the end of the solo). Going below destroys the soul. You see it: that something inside vanishes, person looks older and more fragile, like a shade or a caricature of former self (aka my least favorite Axl look, it hurts my soul).

One of best things was watching Axl regain his shine and I swear, seeing him live this summer blown me away the way I couldn`t imagine.

@MyPrettyTiedUpMichelle I don't think Slash is 'feeling it' doing these shows, sometimes he seems fine but to me it looks like he's doing a guest appearance a lot of the time. There's no talking to the crowd, no joining in for certain choruses and although he's still amazing he ain't himself. Maybe he is just used to being in control of his music choices or maybe this is just his closure for GnR :shrugs:

All the more better for Axl to start cuddling Slash on stage again...

Yeah, I dunno.  He's certainly not feeling something.  I know I keep harping on about this, but I cannot shake the notion that Slash isn't into Axl, as much as Axl is into Slash.  Those two always admired the shit out of one another's talent.  Yet now...something's different, a sort of imbalance between the two?  Slash is in the form of his life right now and enjoying proper iconic status.  Not sure Axl is on par to be honest and I can't help wondering if that has something to do with it.

Yeah i kinda get that vibe too...I know they never socialised together back in the day (same as now) but there was a mutual admiration but ultimately they are both so different in character and they have very differing work ethics that the only thing they have in common is GnR.

So, if this is the case, should be the other way around (in terms of jealousy?) or do you imply that Slash somehow feels he is beneath GNR? since he has Iconic status?

I don't think Slash is that kind of person frankly. If Slash is not feeling the thing, well it will be the end of GNR.

I don't think it's a matter of jealousy, more like...disappointment on Slash's behalf?  It's pretty clear that Axl still admires Slash as much as ever but I wonder if Slash has lost a bit of admiration he once had for Axl because he isn't the singer he used to be?  Axl's singing was everything to Slash, from what I can gather.  It's not Axl's fault (and he's still an awesome frontman) and I don't think Slash would be mean spirited about it, but it must be disappointing when you're a fan of someone's talent for so long and then they lose that quality that once held you in awe?  They used to be equals in the talent department and now they're not.  Of course, I'm just theorising, I have no idea.

Yes, the name is his....but one thing this tour has proven is that with Slash, GNR is a force to be reckoned globally...without him...not so much.

Who's going to see GNR without Slash, after seeing the band with him? Surely not me, and I'm sure my opinion is the same as a lot of people, so in that sense GNR will not survive without him.

Yes i agree, i never saw GnR without Slash but some did and will continue to do so. However Axl probably doesn't see it that way, he carried on with NuGuns and doesn't seem to mind having members come and go i suppose that's what will happen when Slash n Duffs contracts expire.

Of course Axl could have an epiphany and make new music and release it for the fans:P

I just..just not understand that way of thinking....(Axl's)...jeje...let's wait and see..according to insiders, not insiders, multiple sources, etc, etc. next year will be ACDC and Myles...this 29 shows in the works for GNR could be the very last ones and is a shame.

Sounds like he is better off cuddling Angus again ;-)

That's blasphemy! :P

Axl and Slash cuddling was great chemistry in my opinion. You know, I wonder how they would feel if some overzealous female fans would lock them in a very small closet with very little room to move around. That closeness could jumpstart that chemistry. :max:
