DTJ80
I was reading Chinese Whispers and there were comments that when Axl went back to Slash for the demos he was keen on three in particular. Did it ever come out what they were?
The Holographic Universe
That information has never been revealed.
DTJ80
Beggars and Hangers-On and Soma City Ward were my favourites and would like to see given a run-out by GNR. Rather them than Black Hole Sun. Edited September 3, 2018 by DTJ80
The Holographic Universe
I think Lower could have been interesting with some Axl tinkering.
Blackstar
An early instrumental version of Back and Forth Again is heard on the background of the Making of Estranged video with Axl whistling and humming over it. From that it can be assumed that Axl liked it. The riff of Beggars was written during the tour, so it's another one that Axl might have liked. pentatonicamenor
Maybe they'll include one of them in the future, in the next world tour after the release of the new GN'R album... Mmm... Well... Edited September 3, 2018 by pentatonicamenor

I could be wrong, but it was a remarkable thing because it was such a mistake.

The only song that has been specifically mentioned as directly rejected by Axl is Jizz da Pit.

Weird side note on that song (I'm assuming it was the point all along) my car reads song titles back to me and I decided I wanted to hear that song so I asked for it and the computer voice sounds like "Just stop it."

Route66
He liked Riffs not the full songs. Hated 'what do you want to be' was something i heard because it was directly shitty to Ax. Beggars apparently was meant to be a GNR riff and stoked shit.
