It's just that when you have a game that isn't trying to look realistic it's easier to appreciate art. You do have to give props for how gritty the Gears world looked and whatnot. City reminded me of somewhere like Prague. I really liked the subtle hints that the regime you worked for was socialist. I've NEVER been blown away by graphics (with the exception of galaxy.) but I have been blown away plenty of times by art style.I think I'm gonna agree with you on this one Jack.While I still think that graphics are important, a shitty game is a shitty game and there's no making up for that. Loved 'em.I got Guitar Hero 3 today for PS3, only to find my fucking controller doesnt work!Y'know the guitar comes in 2 parts? The neck and the body, yeah well the chip in the neck that connects to the chip in the body is fucked and not in place so only the green and orange buttons actually work! Argh. Taking it back tomorrow. Also gonna buy a PS2 to PS3 convetor plug so I can use the PS2 guitars as well, fuck paying £60 for another wireless guitar for the odd occasion my girlfriend will play it.Anyway, had a quick go on easy (Using the Playstation Controller ) And thought the graphics were amazing, especially on Bret Michaels during Talk Dirty To Me.Really looked promising from the 10 mins or so I played. More so, the aiming is far beyond any sort of precision in other games. its amazing, I love it anyways... a solid 4 out of 5.and for umbrella chronicles I haven't played it, but it's getting decent reviews, so perhaps rent it before considering it as a purchase. Calm Like A Bomb Posted December 8, 2007 Share Posted December 8, 2007 My girlfriend got me a wii about a week ago with Super Mario Galaxy and Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess, i added 3 games to that collection with Guitar Hero 3, Mario & Sonic Olympics and Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga. I was wondering if there are any other games you guys could recommend, i have Resident Evil 4 on the PS2 but was contemplating getting it on the wii and Rockstars Table Tennis but other than that i'm stuck on what games to get next. It's not QUITE good enough to call a killer app but it's certainly made me feel happy about owning a PS3 for the first time since launch. More quality exclusives now, please! I loved the ps2 and invested in this system by looking at the hardware specs and it's potential. However, I only own 3 games, uncharted, ninja gaiden and motorstorm. That's all I felt were worth owning. A lot of the games are way overhyped (Heavenly Sword was pretty weak, Ratchet and Clank had great graphics but was repetitive, Resistance which was a generic sci fi shooter, etc) or the ports are much better on the xbox. I would have gotten an x-box if it wasn't for the shitty hardware. Gears of War looks amazing.The wii also looks like so much fun, even though there are only 3 games I really care about, it looks like an awesome time. They've really pulled themselves just recently with a lot of good games (granted, they're not all PS3 exclusive). Not to mention the software updates are pretty good to say the least (better than 360s).Also, Gears of War is SUCH an overrated game.
