Does anybody else think we'd have multiple New GNR albums by now if Buckethead was still in the band?

Probably. I think CD may have actually come out in '05-06 if Bucket hadn't left, and Axl hadn't felt the need to have Bumble re-record a shit ton of songs. We'd probably have 3 albums at least by now.

How long would it really take to rerecord the guitar parts on CD? Even if he rerecorded the guitar parts on a few extra songs that didn't make it only the album, it would only be a few months at most. A lot less if they really wanted to get it done quickly. The albums get released when Axl decides to release them.

No, the problems would still be exactly the same, I don't really see how Ron's held the band back from anything in a way that Bucket wouldn't have. He's been one of the most vocal supporters of writing and recording music since joining.

Ron is boring. There's no way he could ever capture the general public's imagination.

We could have got CD in 2004, then II in 2008, and by now Axl would have have finished III.

But in early 2004 is when they did or finished Scraped, Shacklers, Sorry, ITW.

In 2006 they had 14 songs finished, 16 left with half of them finished?

was Axl hoping to finish all 30 before putting themout in quick succession? were the 30 finished by 2008. then they picked 14 for CD.

CD seems to have been a certain group of songs with only Scraped, Shacklers, TIL being added?

I think maybe even if it came out in 2004 we may have not got II unless CD took off. If it didnt Bucket would have been the scapechicken.

Buckethead and DJ are almost as prolific as Buckethead, and nothing has come of it. DJ wrote and recorded an entire soundtrack album in a week!

Having a guitarist who doesn't want to break character and insists on recording in a plywood chicken coop in the studio wouldn't make recording things as a band any easier.

But Bucket actually did all his guitar parts he just wanted to put them out in 2004 and maybe have more of his songs on the record.

Does have two leads cause tension in the band. Bucket n Finck great but when it comes to record. What Finck did actually more central to the album.Chi dem riff, wrote Better, credit on SOD, solo on TIL. Thats the more GNR stuff.

Bucket is Shacklers, Scraped, Sorry, solo on ITW. But his solos sound much more GNR.

It went from 70 songs to 30 to 14 ...with maybe 16 more... of which only 8 were possibly finished in 2006?

Axl confirmed a lot of song titles in the chats, so there's another album very close.

Nobody has really said it's anything different from CD. Axl said it was about the same, maybe a bit meaner and darker?
