Chainsforalice
At 1:30. First time i've ever seen him do this, but it fucking worked. Maybe he's looking into a new technique
Street Of The Blues
That was an awful time to become constipated.
IncitingChaos
I've seen him do that before on Jungle intros. It looks like an easier way to do extended screams. With his mouth more closed it might make his voice come out deeper bc his natural scream is really high pitched. Who knows though? I'm glad he still works on his technique though Edited January 29, 2014 by IncitingChaos
jbhutto
This is sorta like that:http://youtu.be/1bFtnfHZ-fw?t=1m24sAxl used to be pretty effortless with the vocal tricks

magisme
That's not a bad scream from LALD relative to other recent ones. I felt like I saw a lot of LALD performances from 2013 where he did this weak ass, open mouthed scream. For me, if he doesn't hit the scream LALD live is a complete bust. Estranged Reality
yeah, he's been doing that for years, it's just changing as he has to spare his voice more nowadays.
Cosmo
It looks like something that would be narrated by Morgan Freeman on National Geographic.
War2k14
Yeah I'll take that lald scream any day. Shit has been weak recently. But on the plus side he's still doing something.

Stro
yeah, he's been doing that for years, it's just changing as he has to spare his voice more nowadays. He was doing that in the 80s. It's not a new technique of any kind.
Powerage5
You know what's even more annoying than the extended scream on LALD? The fucking pyro blasts! No way - the pyro makes LALD worth having in the set. It's boring as fuck when you take the pyro away - just look at virtually any UCAP gig. Axl_morris
You can tell he does it on the studio version on Move to the City at 1.
whatashame
this is when the singer doesn't want to make this vibrating sound using his diaphragmaso he moves his mouth to get the sound to vibrate.actually,I've watched Freddie Mercury on video and he used to do it a lot live and in the studio. He would put his fist on his right side of the belly and gently punch / tap himself there to get the sound to vibrate. In the studio he would put his hand on the right side of his throat and do that same thing. For one, I think Bruce Dickinson has the strongest diaphragma bikoz that guy uses it for the entire show, and never gets tired and never fakes it. Everything that comes out of his mouth vibrates from the inside of him.
IncitingChaos
Found this one while watching random videos. At around 3:05 you can see him do this.Really great performance by the way. This is one of the few videos where Axl looks more like his old self, I was shocked!

IncitingChaos
I saw the pro shot, but when I got to Nighttrain he had on a blue bandana. Maybe there were two pro shots? He used the technique in Civil War also
