  1. I'd like to think Absurd and OMG were originally intended for the remix album, or as bonus tracks... half a dozen remixes, Absurd and OMG would've be a fine bonus disc for a re-release with the alternate artwork, a decade ago. There's plenty of artists that have re-released songs, from Motley Crue to Cradle Of Filth to Taylor Swift, but it would be ridiculous for GNR to re-release OMG as anything other than a bonus track.
  2. Because it's one of the few songs we really know about. We have the demo from 2006 and it was on the CD2 email from 2008. However, Axl at one point also wanted to release "10 bonus tracks" and said after CD was released that OMG wasn't taken very seriously. But we know it has complete vocals and it was worked on in the 2000s, so it gets mentioned. I don't think it will be re-released, but this is a fanbase so starved for material that re-recorded versions of 20+ year old songs is something that people actually want...
  3. A GNR version of CrueFest would be awesome - do a 2 hour show with 4-5 younger bands opening for them. A GNR show with openers like Dirty Honey, Sometimes Y, Ayron Jones, Cleopatrick, Mammoth WVH etc. would be the fastest I've bought a ticket in a long time... do a European run with Maneskin, The Cruel Intentions, The Struts, VOLA, it'd be fucking awesome.
  4. I think it's probably as simple as: Axl looks the best he's looked in a few years, so this is the time to get a bunch of photos for future promo. We'll probably see announcements for tours in 2025, 2026, etc using photos from this tour...
  5. I wonder who else will play on that night? Ozzy just cancelled. https://blabbermouth.net/news/ozzy-osbourne-cancels-performance-at-power-trip-festival-im-just-not-ready-yet I assume ACDC's setlist will be pretty normal, probably open with Rock Or Bust then play 90 minutes of hits. Best case scenario maybe they bring Axl out for Whole Lotta Rosie, but I'm not holding my breath...
  6. Imagine some die-hard in the front row screaming for The General, but because of all the noise and maybe the guys accent, Axl just wonders why the fuck he's screaming about Genesis...
  7. Got a link for this? "Off-menu request" would make way more sense
  8. By The Sword, Nothing To Say and Promise are my favourites from that album. Ghost is ok but it doesn't have any of that classic GNR vibe. For the songs with GNR members, I'd say Baby Can't Drive > Ghost > Watch This
  9. No, he looks like an old guy trying to look younger
  10. Credit where it's due, Axl looks and sounds the best he has since at least 2017. The backwards cap always looks ridiculous though
  11. They've only played it 3 times this year, with a month between the first and second performance. They played it semi-regularly towards the end of 2017 and for a chunk of the 2012 residency. https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/guns-n-roses-7bd69e24.html?songid=13d06905
  12. If it's a couple bonus tracks like the Hardschool EP, I'd like official releases of Bad Obsession, Pretty Tied Up and Down On The Farm from this tour. Based on the Selects, I don't really want a live album... but a live album, covers album, or CD2 won't have any effect on a real new album, because they won't write one. Anything other than a new album is just bonus tracks at this point imo.
  13. Sorry to bring RHCP into the main section of this forum again lol, but most of the festivals they've played on their current European tour have done live streams. I'm watching/listening to their show in Portugal right now (they're playing Suck My Kiss) and it makes me wish GNR would do more sets like Glastonbury - maybe they make less money, maybe they don't play for 3+ hours, but it's a good excuse to alternate songs and cut some fat from the set, and we'd get better bootlegs/streams.
  14. Yea that would be the best case scenario, drop the whole EP at once (including live tracks, if they're planning to include those again). Would definitely get more attention than dropping one song at a time.
  15. Yes, but not Absurd. I wouldn't be surprised if they repeat the 2021 release strategy - surprise drop the b-side (Perhaps) and do a proper release for the a-side (The General) with physical copies for pre-order. I could be wrong of course, but that's my guess.
  16. If they're gonna surprise-drop a song, it will almost definitely be at midnight US eastern time. So about 6 hours from now. I don't think they'll do a normal release where it shows up in New Zealand then Europe then NA... I'm not holding my breath for a new song dropping tonight or next week though.
  17. The newest songs from Dirty Honey and The Struts are both solid, hopefully they both release albums this year...
  18. Just listened to it, sounds awesome. (Set a vpn to New Zealand and listened on youtube). Hopefully they drop another album this year.
  19. Perhaps these devious bastards will do something so absurd it turns our heads inside out - release multiple mixes/masters of the next EP. Nothing will be the title track. They could literally release a whole lotta nothing and spends years touring on the back of nothing. It's perfect.
  20. Locomotive would sound great if Axl and Melissa harmonized like they do on CD, Pretty Tied Up, Sorry... he should definitely use his lower voice for Locomotive, and get rid of that backing track in the chorus. TWAT has always kind of been a disaster in the verses, it's cool they play it occasionally but there's several other deep cuts I'd pick over it, and I'm a huge CD fan.
