  1. One of the Better leaks actually made me a GN'R fan. I was never fond of IRS or Riad, or even the title track, but still listen to them from time to time. IRS is definitely my least favorite. I must say I am a sucker for Scraped. I love that song, has some great guitars and Axl vocals (though the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but perhaps that was the intent like with If The World)
  2. I agree, Atlas starts out strong then falls a bit into a mediocre song. Sometimes I'll get into it, but it's missing something. It's a fine B-side, as is (or was) from the 2001 mix, which seems to be the best we have at this point. (RM1 is also pretty good, additional guitar track on it) Apparently a newer version is out there with Bumblefoot, mixed similarly to the OMG, Silkworms, and Going Down leaks with Bumblefoot with his guitar in one channel, the rest of the song in the other (mono). I don't have it, but apparently a few do but it hasn't leaked.
  3. I thought this thread was about that initially! I hope they keep the 8-bit intro to Atlas on the official version.
  4. 2012 Detroit. My dad and I met Bumblefoot before the show. Up Close & Personal tour. Axl was feeling sick, but him and the band was on fire. November Rain stopped before the final solo. Axl talked about how Detroit should be the next place to be used to shoot pornos, apparently at the time there was a law requiring condoms to be used in porn in some country/state. I wish I asked Bumblefoot about CD2, but all I managed to ask was an autograph on my ticket and I complimented him on his hat. Shackler's Revenge sounds amazing live. It was also cool hearing Civil War, as they didn't play that in 2011 when we saw them in Chicago. I wish they would play Detroit again, the last time was 2021, which we also saw. And the 2016 show, which was also great.
  5. Imagine if Axl had a Ferrari or something on display or for sale and left a copy of CD2 in it.
  6. Better and TIL are my top two favorite CD songs.
  7. Absolutely, Robin would be preferred. It would be great to her him (and Buckethead, of course) play their CD solos live.
  8. I wouldn't mind Ashba back, even if it's just for touring, he does the CD songs justice, especially with the solos vs how Slash handles them. I wish they had Richard play more lead, especially for the CD songs.
  9. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Perhaps, one day, He will bless us with CD2 leaks, with pre-Bumblefoot mixes.
  10. DJ Ashba submitted several AFD sounding songs to Axl. Apparently at least one was really good. Baz even talked highly of it. Say what you will about DJ, but at least he was enthusiastic and tried. I wish Axl would have put out CD2 in 2009-10 as planned, then released an album of mostly Bumble/DJ and some remaining Robin and Bucket songs between 2011-2014, that way all of the CD stuff was out of the way, then actually record a new album with NITL 2016-2023. A CD-relaunch was planned in 2011, which never happened either. Nor the remix album or CD2. Nothing, or very little seems to happen with this band. I'm no expert in the music industry, but the above scenario doesn't seem too unrealistic for most bands. But not GN'R.
  11. Wouldn't it be great if we could make the comparison? Maybe one day.
  12. An acoustic EP with Zodiac 13, State Of Grace, Oh My God, 2001 KOHD and the final track is Bumblefoot's acoustic Better.
  13. As long as we get at least one more disc of Robin and Buckethead GN'R material with Axl, I'll be happy.
  14. 5 years from now, in 2028, it will be Chinese Democracy's 20 year anniversary. That will probably get priority for that year.
  15. I couldn't agree more! Though I saw Axl in 2011, not 2010.
  16. I didn't mind the second part of Slash's solo on Hard Skool, but the work on the final track seemed uninspired overall. I actually liked his Absurd guitar work, but find the mix atrocious. Same with Hard Skool on the mix. I wish they would minimally have Slash and Duff on the new material (much like how they had Bumblefoot on CD) and actually write and record new stuff with NITL. It's not too late to go this route, where they have a hybrid album (or two, depending on how many songs NITL can actually create) with CD era songs with the superior mixes of those songs from that time with properly mixed new songs or completed unfinished songs from the CD era.
  17. Voted. I'm amazed they even put it on the list, just because that album doesn't get half the love and recognition it deserves. I really liked Robin's solos for Zodiac 13, Perhaps, and Hardschool I'm sad that these will probably never make an official release.
  18. Thanks! I'll probably be able to score some then. Where do you recommend snagging tickets these days?
